Dommerich Elementary

This is a wonderful community school with an excellent principal and a highly qualified and hard-working staff. There are a multitude of after school programs for all interests. My sons love the school. Dommerich should have an A++ school grade!

Dommerich E.S. Wow what a pretty school, all was new! Really polished. I was very impressed with the appearance. 3rd grade rolled in I decided to join the PTA, maybe if my son saw me at school I can scold him a little if he was out of line. I have never witnessed a community that judged a person by their appearance like Dommerich elementary school. I consider myself a tattoo collector & I was the ONLY parent in that school that has the amount of tattoos that I do. So I stuck out. I usually don't give a crap what people think about me but it really hurts when my kids are affected by ignorant people. My mission in this life time is to provide the BEST for my kids. My experience with the PTA was the worst ever, I found myself trying to "fit-in" with the PTA snobs. That behavior is not who I am, so I came to my senses and stopped trying to donate my time & did whatever I needed to do for my son. For a public school, it should not be that. I felt like I was in high school trying to become friends with the cool crowd. Except the "cool crowd" at Dommerich was the stuck up rich moms from the PTA. Thank god we moved to another state! I have experienced ZERO of that behavior here. I am finally able to become a part of my sons PTA community where we ALL share our kids growth & enjoy our small town conversations on how to come together to problem solve! What I have learned from my experience at Dommerich is that those crappy attitudes are being carried down to their children, always be humble. My son saw this behavior and knows what I went thru. He has the understanding that type of adult behavior is unacceptable. We should always treat everyone equally not matter what they look like!

POC parents need to make sure their children are protected at all times. This school is predominantly white and they already have formed their ignorant opinions about POC students and parents.
