I would put zero stars the best way to describe this “school” is that 1. it’s a business they don’t care about actual education they just want their money. 2. Miscommunication the actual school and teachers have little to no communication therefore it sets off relationships with your teachers because you think it’s them when it really just Dorsey. 3. Disorganized because of the miscommunication they are a complete mess when it comes to the actual process of graduating you have no idea what’s going on until very last minute. My whole program was complete stress and all I can say is I’m glad it’s over and I can say I got the education but it was so overwhelming and stressful. I 10/10 would not recommend Dorsey college for estheticians. The teacher however I would recommend, though it was stressful ms.Sonya was there every step and assured me that I would make it to the end. I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher and guidance through such a stressful program simply due to the actual schools doings. Thank you to ms.Sonya for making the program a bit more of an ease, and always supporting and encouraging your students.
I am an RN, BSN, with my MBA and I find this school to be unprofessional, and unorganized. I am paying lots of money for my daughter to attend this school. She graduated August of 2021, as an LPN, however, they are still making her jump through hoops, constantly changing the program rules, and will not sign off for her to take her state exam. They say one thing then do another... You are totally at their mercy! Their reasoning is ... we want to make sure you pass your state test, or we look bad! I do not recommend this school to anyone. My other daughter is at Schoolcraft, and will finish her 2 year ADN before my daughter that was suppose to already be done., and working, to help support her family. This is so sad.
When I started Dorsey Medical Assistant program I was super nervous and wasn't sure if this was the right place for me and I am so happy that I continued with the program. I had the best learning experience from the instructors! Each one was truly amazing and really cared about the students. Career services did an amazing job finding me an externship site that I absolutely love and will be starting my career at. Overall I'm happy with the experience I had at Dorsey and so glad I had the opportunity to meet such amazing people.
Dorsey absolutely changed my life! I am so thankful for everything I have learned throughout my program. The entire staff is so kind and supportive! They were able to put together a graduation ceremony for us. : Everyone there goes above and beyond to help you succeed. Thank you Dorsey staff, you guys are amazing! :
My experience at Dorsey was great. The DON Ms. Lee is very hands on and passionate about the success of the students. I would recommend this program to anyone serious about getting into the nursing field.
The only positive thing about this school were the instructors. Clinicals sites were by far not enough of skills. The main problem were the staff behind the scenes. This school only wants your money!!!! This school run like crooks and thieves in the night. They lie the whole time until your tuition is paid in full and than you see the true side of them. The finacial aid department is horrible. They pass the buck all the time claiming its coroporate. Now here it is coroporate is right on campus but act like casper the friendly ghost! Totally invisible and not able to be reached. Sad sad sad!!!! If they approve you for the Dorsey grant don't hold your breathe on getting it because it is just a space filler on paper because they will never apply the money. This school only cares about the money and for $30,000 they need to do a whole lot more. I strongly advise you to do some reviews on your own before selecting them. Ask previous students like myself. Not enough bang or respect for your buck! So this is a big CAUTION TO THE WISE RUN RUN RUN AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL!!!!
Love Dorsey! Graduating from the PCT program at the Madison Heights campus was life changing for my sister-in-law. She is now an LPN and graduates from an RN program this fall. So proud of her!
Shouldn't even give a start but I won't allow you to not. I went to get a haircut, my hair looks the same as it was when I walked in. The teacher cut my ear. Now I have to go to another place to pay again to get it cut and waste more time. I will definitely not come back nor recommend you to anyone. What a BIG WASTE OF MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't even give this school one star. They ripped my son off. He paid $500.00 cash, went to one class and decided it wasn't for him. He was told he would be refunded $250. He went to one class, never received any books and was returned a check for $50.00. It's a very sad day when a school has to steal from young kids that work hard for their money and are trying to decide on a future. I plan on filing a complaint and demanding an invoice for the $450.00 that was taken from my son. I thought stealing was against the law.
I am a Apostolic Pentecostal and was unable to wear my skirts to my classes and clinicals i was very displeased i couldn't go to classes and clinicalsand obey my faith at the same time
