The Dothan City School System serves approximately 9,300 students. The school system consists of one Pre-School Center (Pre-K), nine elementary schools (Grades K-5), two elementary magnet schools (Grades K-5), two middle schools (Grades 6-8), two middle magnet schools (Grades 6-8), two high schools (Grades 9-12), one technology center (Grades 9-12), one alternative school (Grades 2-12), and one accelerated recovery center (Ages 16+). The system employs more than 639 certified personnel and more than 416 support staff.
Dothan City Schools mission is to prepare all students for the choices and challenges of the 21st Century (the future). Our goal is to prepare all students to participate productively and responsibly in a rapidly changing society.
