The Double Eagle Airport is awesome had a great time those morning my son had aviation with "Doc" she's amazing my son has learned so much from her.
2023-05-05 I flew my C172 from Del Rio, TX and arrived mid-afternoon. Tower was helpful with my approach, and they guided me to the FBO. Clean facilities and friendly staff. There is even a restaurant on-site that is open Wed-Sun 8am-2pm. What a treat! No fees for landing, and the overnight tie-down price is only $10 but waived with any amount of fuel purchased. If you're thinking of flying to Albuquerque, give Double Eagle KAEG a try!
Great facility and services!
We went for a Fly In. It was easy to find and there was reasonable parking available. It has its own tower and everyone was friendly. One of the hangars was open and there were displays and tables of interesting topics and items related to aviation.
Bomber Cafe for a great breakfast meal. Thanks Chris!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant currently closed.
Great FBO, friendly staff, complete aircraft services, and reasonable rates. Good stop for a trip to ABQ or a gas n go.
Great controllers!! Thanks for all you do!!
Great airport with kind staff and great ATC. Clean restrooms and flight planning facilities. Indoor and outdoor seating. Accessibility: there are a few maybe, draining cuts inside but they are covered with a metal sheet. Accessibility: no "steps" to enter the FBO Parking: many spaces but none specifically accessible... Seating: couches and a flight planning room Options: coffee and a few snacks inside Staff: kind in the FBO! Fuel up was quick as well. Restrooms: clean and New Mexico theme! Atmosphere: New Mexican! and AIRPLANES : Animals: allowed I'm sure! Dogs leashed! Kid Friendly: yep! but not much for them to be occupied with, please keep an eye on them when on the tarmac.
Nice airport though a bit out of the way if you are staying the night. Mid afternoon I tried to get an UBER into town but they said no cars were available. Bode Aero the FBO came through with a rental car so that was good. I got a spot in their hangar for the night for a really reasonable rate and I was on my way. The folks at Bode Aero are really friendly and they recommended a nice hotel in Old Town. Airport itself is not busy and they have nice approaches and long runways.
