Double M Campground

We tent camped this past long weekend and it was awesome. Right on the river so the kids could fish all day long. They would cast and reel in sunfish over and over again so it was quite fun for them. Lots to do with the kids. The rock-it was a hit at the beach. Our sites 10 and 11 had big trees overtop so we got lots of shade during the hottest parts of the day and when it rained a little it wasn't too bad. The only downfall was it was a bit of a trek to use the washrooms. Not bad during the day, but late at night or when you really have to go in the morning it felt like a bit of a mission. Maybe a portapotty near the tent sites wouldn't be so bad? And the women's washroom is at the back of the building which was a bit dark and creepy to go to at night. Overall, we had a great weekend and will definitely visit again if we find ourselves in that area.

Clean resort friendly staff. Well maintained beach activities like tether ball and baskit ball. There are horseshoe pits, billiard tables, showers laundry. Nice boat launch on the river.

Really enjoyed our stay at Double M. lots of activities for kids and grown ups. Grounds felt very clean, friendly and safe. Guests were very respectful of the speed limits on the grounds. Loved the access to a small beach by the river, water was clean.

The campground is nice and the office staff is friendly. However, the restrooms smelled like the cows came home. The overnight site we got was also very hard for us to level our motorhome and all of them looked like ours. At $70 per night, you'd think they could set up a somewhat level gravel pad. To top it all, the lawnmowing guy came very close to my RV. When i asked him to be careful and keep more distance, he was rude and proceeded to stay even longer near my RV than he had to. Next time, we'll try Riverwood!

If you’re thinking of becoming a seasonal camper here, Had a trailer there for one season at this park, I found there’s seasonal fees very complicated to understand on paper. They should really simplify things so no confusion and their electrical bill not sure where they’re getting their readings from but I can tell you that they’re metres are not on your site. There’s somewhere in the park?

Buyer, beware before you buy a trailer in this park Get everything in writing bought a trailer in the park less than a year ago and lost a pile of money because Stephanie and her mom decided my trailer would not be sold in the park? they weren’t going to discuss with me what was sellable they had at the time a trailer 10 years + and they sold it!! mine was 10 years or less and decided not to put it up for sale??? The excuse they gave me was that the mother sold a older trailers without discussing it with the daughter poor business practices. she sold me something that she know that was unsellable in the future again lost a pile of money, if I new there was no chance to resell I would have never bought it. No real policy in place for trailer resale in the park right from the beginning, they sold me something that was already unsellable so if you buy something don’t listen to anything they have to tell you 10 years five years they hold the strings on when they want to sell anything in that park if you don’t want to lose money, get everything in writing to protect yourself. From buying something that is not able to be resold in the park.

Love this park. Great atmosphere, even better staff and owners.

We have a trailer here it is so beautiful to sit by the water the people are wonderful . It is kid friendly. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash

The management here is VERY serious about keeping it's clients safe. Good on them!
