Douglas Health and Rehab has devoted and caring staff. This is observed by everyday good deeds supporting the resident’s well being and to lend a helping hand to co-workers. This makes for a great place to live and work.
The building is full of lovely residents and staff who all make this place great. The residents and staff have bible studies that are inspirational and spiritual, and the staff and residents share special moments and support each other through many challenges such as the recent Covid Pandemic. The level of commitment of caregivers definitely demonstrates loads of compassion each day, and the wonderful folks here make Douglas a great place to live and work.
I wouldn’t send my elderly family member here just simply because of the staff! My niece was just recently made to walk out on her job here! Due to being bullied by other staff! One staff member even suggested to her to take a prescription medication! She is seventeen years old and should not be offered ANY medication while at work, nor should she be made to cry while on the clock! Three or more adults came up to her while on the clock and started to confront her about her not wanting to leave early, she just got her first vehicle and needs the money! They then proceeded to laugh at her and make jokes making her cry! Then when a family member called and asked to speak to a supervisor, it was a problem! They were hung up on, the woman then stated that she “didn’t have to talk to anyone about anything about her position “. We are trying to turn our children into adults with great responsibility not tear them down and bully them into not wanting to work! This all was completely unprofessional and ridiculous! How can we trust such rude and Insensitive people around our vulnerable family members?
Douglas has been my home away from home for a lil over 5 years we have such dedicated and dependable staff .When u look forward to coming to work everyday to see your work family and your residents so you can assure that your residents get the best care possible always puts a smile on my face and theirs loving where u work makes it seem like u never work a day in your life when u love what you do .I will always call Douglas my home away from home
