Shaker Oval Boxes; Custom Woodworking; Custom Furniture
I founded Douglass Yankee Craftsman 10 years ago to satisfy my desire to produce fine quality handcrafted wood products. I learned the trade by taking classes from well-known professionals in the wood working business. I practice the trade by spending endless hours refining my techniques.
While the Shaker Oval Boxes are my main product, I also craft other Shaker furniture including candle boxes, tables, drying racks and medicine cabinets. My love for woodworking is shown in the high quality of my end products.
I am a member of The Society of American Period Furniture Makers, and I continue to study the masters of the trade and expand my product line.
