The Downtown campus library is one of the best libraries I've been to. The space is always clean and quiet, there are ample study areas on each floor, and there's more books than one could ever hope to read. Their selection of books is vast and reaches from American History to Japanese Manga and more! Every table for studying has built in power outlets to charge your electronic devices for your convenience. The bathrooms are always clean and there's also a water bottle refilling station beside the water fountains on the first floor to keep you hydrated. This place is honestly one of the most beautiful buildings on campus. Highly recommended.
Very good Library in WVU!! I love study in there!! Second floor has deep quiet zone ! It is really elegant and gorgeous !! I love downtown campus library!!! I took a video when I visit there! It was really good place to study! I love WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY LIBRARY!! You can check open and close time at website!
Beautiful library with lots of cute little study nooks. There are desks that are private with side walls, a shelf, and outlets!
A great open study space and private rooms for groups.
I am writing today to complain of the poor temperature management myself and other WVU students must endure while visiting the down town library. I am dissatisfied with the temperature as it is exceedingly too cold for any average human being to feel comfortable in which makes it impractical to study. Furthermore, the library's inability to raise the temperature has meant that I have had incur the expenses of buying additional clothing in order to stay warm, and consequently I have no money now. I have already attempted to resolve the problem myself by adjusting the thermostat. Alas, the temperature has not still changed. As a student who is here frequently I hope you will work to solve my problem and find a solution.
Great facilities and selection; however, the library closes early on weekends. Many times as a student I was inconvenienced by this, often with group projects where we had difficulty finding a suitable meeting area. One would think the library would strive for 24/7 availability during the semester, especially towards finals. I would at least like to have seen regular hours on weekends, or even extended hours for a start.
West Virginia University Libraries do not do enough to include diversity within their libraries and do not select external candidates who embrace diverse values. If you're looking for employment, do not waste your time in applying to WVU or their Libraries if you're non-White and a minority. Plus, their pay and compensation is not worth it.
I worked for the university it's a nice place you can get good food meet new people and we have a hotels there
Absolutely beautiful. Fantastic library. So many resources. Most students don't realize the treasure they have access to.
Nice place in the downtown to work. Even non-WVU students can enter and work with their laptop with the guest WiFi there.
