I am offering a big HELLO to you my friends here. I have moved back and returned to living in Los Angeles (Yea!). I am really pleased to be back in the States (where people know how to drive for starters!)
The anthropologist side of me loved living in a different culture, with a different language and different musics. For sure my Portuguese is very fluent.
But I am super glad to be back here in the company of Americans who share an insightful view of our world, a greatness of spirit, and a much more sophisticated awareness of natural health.
Most of all I missed having my friends close by, and the warm relationships I enjoy here.

DR. ARLO GORDIN, DC
Dr. Arlo Gordin graduated with honors from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, in Anthropology, Ethnomusicology & Pre-Architecture. He was one year apprenticed to a Maori tribal wood sculptor in New Zealand, and attended the University of Auckland studying Polynesian cultures and languages. He next explored Gamelan music, the cultural arts, the monkey forests and moss covered stone temples on the island of Bali in Indonesia in the final era before tourism indelibly altered the island. He completed his Chiropractic doctorate degree at the renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where Chiropractic was first discovered, taught and exported to the world.
His health career began first with an interest in nutrition. Both Dr. Bernard Jensen the great naturopath, and a Palmer Chiropractor urged him to get his Chiropractic training after seeing his huge interest in the field of natural health care. When his girlfriend years ago was scheduled for a hysterectomy surgery, for "pelvic inflammatory disease" and female bleeding non-stop for a year, despite the best that medicine could offer her, he placed her onto a program of Chiropractic and nutrition. That resulted in stopping her bleeding and pain in only one week, and allowed her to cancel the surgery. Arlo decided then he wanted to help people avoid surgeries when there were better options. One fantastic part of his work has focused directly on glandular and reproductive disorders. The number of glowing success stories on metabolic and gland recovery for men and women both, including babies born to "infertile" parents, is a wonder of his practice.
Dr. Gordin's reflex and nutritional studies led him to Applied Kinesiology (Dr. Goerge Goodheart's study of muscle testing and the advanced applications in health, function and nutrition). He is trained and certified in a myriad of Chiropractic Techniques, Applied Kinesiology, Sacro-Occipital Technique, Craniopathy, Polarity Therapy, Clinical Nutrition, Sports Injuries and numerous other methods. He trained personally with an improbable roster of the legendary Chiropractors: De Jarnette, Goodheart, Gonstead, Walther, Grostic, Pettibon, Cox, Lee to name only some. His adjusting skills trained at the best facility in the world were honed by his intelligent and meticulous interaction with these and other masters of the field.
He is also a board certified Anti Aging Physician (by the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine). His practice began in Los Angeles in 1979, and he became immediately sought after for his insight and results.
His techniques in pain elimination for Spine, Neck, Back, Disc, Extremities (Arms, hands, legs knees, etc.), and other locations in the body, and his uncanny ability to find what is causing new or chronic pain, and to correct it are truly phenomenal.
Arlo's love for music and close friends in the music community brought him to focus his attention on the epidemic of problems to musicians' hands, wrists and arms. One of his early musician patients, who had four failed carpal tunnel surgeries, two on each wrist, was pain-free in less than a month and was stunned by Arlo's results. That patient was a teacher in a large music school and soon had Arlo as a guest lecturer to the professors and students. Those types of successes caused the instrumentalists' and music press to write about his methods. Feature articles on his healing work with musicians appeared in Bass Player, Modern Drummer, Guitar for the Practicing Musician and numerous others. He is arguably the most famous doctor for musicians' health problems in the world. For years musicians world-wide call in and travel for Arlo to help them, often saving their careers from ruin. Reknowned bass players, guitarists, drummers, pianists and keyboardists as well as classical and other wind, string, vocal and percussion instrumentalists have been restored to their best playing, free of pain, numbness or weakness, all without drugs or surgery.
He has worked closely with members of the American Midwifery association, delivering techniques to pregnant mothers and infants, and solving some of the tougher health challenges and life-threatening conditions of mothers-to-be and children. And he currently is delivering the signature Perineal Floor Technique that eases delivery and minimizes pain and tearing. This as well as his well-know track record of helping turn babies in the uterus when their position leaves something to be desired.
