Dr. Byrds Orthodontist

Service itself was okay, but communication afterward regarding errors in the billing/insurance was completely non-existent. They won't even respond to phone calls or emails. Will not be returning.

I’ve had a horrible experience here with both the dental and ortho side. My son has had braces for over a year and despite the practice saying that an orthodontist meets with parents at important times, I have yet to ever meet an orthodontist. The wait times after the appointment time is routinely 45 minutes with zero acknowledgement or updates, and twice now my son’s wire has popped out of his braces after hours and the on call staff doesn’t call back. He currently has two inches of wire hanging out of his mouth with a message left over an hour ago to the on call staff. I haven’t received a call back.

We have always had a great experience with Dr. Byrd and his team. They are thorough, kind, and efficient. Took my kids today and I had made the appointment at the wrong location, but they found a way to fit the kids in. Raheem in particular was patient and helpful. Highly recommend.

Thought it was great until recently, Kids had an appointment on a MONDAY and unfortunately, the whole household fell sick over the weekend. Which resulted in us missing the appointment, and I get charged for a missed appointment.. I’ve been going for YEARS and never missed ONE appointment even when I never got a reminder til the day OF. Apparently, some unknown way I’m supposed to give a 24hr notice even though we got sick OVER THE WEEKEND with a Monday appointment smh

The staff is fairly nice, but the orthodontist side is super slow with appointment times. We regularly sit in the waiting from for 30-45 minutes past the appointment time. If it were an isolated incident I wouldn’t bring it up, but it’s almost every time we come. I think some improvements could also be made on communication. I’ve never met my son’s orthodontist. It would be nice to have the doctor out and explain things, or at the very least introduce himself as instead of an assistant. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful though.

You'll be glad you came here!! When my son needed braces several years ago and I visited a total of 3 orthodontist offices trying to find the best fit. Not being overly impressed with the first two places I had little confidence in visiting Richard Byrd DDS office. Well, I was wrong! The staff was and continues to be top notch!!. Everyone is always friendly and professional and the place is VERY clean and well maintained. I love having the access of both a dentistry and and orthodontics so there's no need to run back and forth. They take a wide variety of insurance and are pretty upfront about any cost you could incur. There is little wait time for new appointments or follow up appointments and they have always been accommodating when it little things come up and you need to be seen right away broken bracket, chipped tooth etc. The service and quality care Dr. Byrd office provides is the why I did not hesitate to bring my other children in. Kid no.2 is now in braces and my 3rd one just had her first appointment here. We LOVE this office!!

I’ve been taking my oldest to this office for a couple of years so it was a no brainer to bring my youngest here as well. When I took him for his first dental visit, the assistant and doctor were both so patient and kind. It was a great first experience for us and for him. My oldest goes to both the dentist and orthodontist and his progress with braces has been incredible. He’s getting the confidence to smile again! Every doctor we’ve met has been wonderful and we couldn’t be happier with the treatment our boys have received. I highly recommend this office.

Love this office! They are more like family to our little family and for that I am grateful. Not only are they welcoming but I now have another father figure, mother, and plenty of sisters. Truly amazing staff. Their work speaks for itself. Accommodating and impeccable. I was 30 when I decided to get braces and any issue I might’ve ran into they’ve fixed it.

Dr. Byrd and staff are fantastic. Not only do they deliver wonderful service but every visit to the office is a delight. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and ensure you're pleased with your results. I could not recommend anyone better for your orthodontic needs!

Dr. Byrd and his associates have improved the smile of both my daughters. We used their skill for my older daughter and have returned with my younger daughter. All our experiences have been positive. We are met with kind and helpful associates at the desk and before and after each visit we are told what will occur and why and what to expect.
