Dr. Edward Boland received his undergraduate degree at the United States Military Academy and served as a Field Artillery Officer and paratrooper until attending medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed a residency in Family Practice in 1996 followed by a Masters of Public Health Degree and Preventive Medicine Residency. He is an active member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and has special interest in the management of chronic medical problems (diabetes, hypertension, elevated cholesterol) though weight loss, exercise and smoking cessation. Dr. Boland is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.
