We attempted to visit this store, but we're very put off by the general vibe. You aren't allowed to take in any bags, not even a purse. And then they want to see ID from everyone who enters the store. Sorry, but my ID is in my purse, which I was forced to leave in my car! And the store is in a rather sketchy part of town, so that already made me uncomfortable, as I was afraid my purse would be stolen. As my husband and I are in our 50's, we are obviously well old enough to shop there. Not sure why they needed our ID, but it felt like we were entering a police state. So we just took our business elsewhere.
Recently, I visited Dr. John's Lingerie store in SLC, and while I found the store to be fun, I was a bit disappointed in the limited variety of lingerie available. Although the selection was good, I was hoping for more options to choose from. However, I did appreciate the store's playful atmosphere and the staff's helpfulness in assisting me with my purchase. It was clear that Dr. John's Lingerie was a destination spot for many, and I can see why - the vibe was fun and flirty, and the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. That being said, I do wish that the store had been more interactive. I would have loved to see more opportunities to try on lingerie and play around with different looks. I think that this would have added to the overall shopping experience and made it even more of a destination spot. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Dr. John's Lingerie, but I do wish that there had been a bigger variety of lingerie available and that the store had been more interactive. Despite this, I would still recommend the store to anyone looking for a fun and flirty shopping experience.
My wife and I decided to go in and buy a toy, a Luxe plus Divulge. a toy priced in their store for $110. when we arrived home, the toy was defective. we know we are not able to make returns due to the nature of the product, however the woman working insisted on repeatedly making us aware the only way we can fix the issue is by using the toys manufacturing website and filing a claim. we were aware of this, and had asked if it were possible to get a receipt, as we were not provided one when we purchased the toy. they said we could get a receipt, however they don't keep them on any type of file, and if i waited so much as the next morning, it may be thrown away, and irretrievable. after rushing down to the store to get my receipt to file my claim with the website, i noticed the receipt was very non descriptive, only listing the "Luxe plus Divulge" as "toy - 110.99" foreseeing a possible issue with the manufacturer i asked what i should tell the company if they give me any issues, only to be hurriedly told "they've never given me issues before" the other thing i noticed while on the manufacturers website is that the toy, and others like it are listed for between $35 and $60. meaning between a 100% and 300% mark up in the price. I am thoroughly dissapointed in my experience and will not be returning for any reason. Update: after a month, working with the manufacturing company we finally have a replacement. The company Lush, was very nice, sympathetic, and got us a replacement that actually matched the price we paid. They even included a coupon code for a portion off our order if we wanted anything else they carried. Lesson learned, these small local shops do not hold you, your money, or your experience in very high regard. Work with the manufacturing company for the best experience and price
Not the best store is me censoring myself. Though by the end of this it might not be so "censored" Lets begin with, whoever is running your store needs to be fired. Who's doing the purchasing? That surely needs a re-evaluation of what makes a store profitable. This store has minmal selection of toys and adult novelty options. A lot of the same items just different colors. The lingerie selection could have been something I was hoping to spend money on. However, they were all large to plus sizes ??? I found maybe 4 pieces that were medium or small And they were hideous! Of course they were available. No one in there right Right mind would purchase them. Anything else that wasn't "queen size" was "one size fits most" in a packaged box that you can't try on. Emphasis on the "most." I would be counted out on the "most" aspect and when you are paying $50.00 + on something you want more than a "one size fits most" option and can't try on. Isn't a risk I am willing to take. This store could be better in so many ways. The only store clerk I saw wondered back up to the front at some point of our visit. Yet, she never said a word..nothing to acknowledge any of the customers presence in the store Or bother looking up when we were leaving. I could have been stealing something and she didn't show any care in the world to her responsibilities in customer service. Wow that was a complete disappointment. If your wondering why the stores profits never go up. That is the reason. I am surprised you're still in business. Thank your competitors for closing early or that would have been the case along time ago guaranteed!! Shame shame shame.

Considering it's really the only 24 hour joint around this place would get 5 stars just for that. But in addition to that fun fact, this institution of SLC has everything you could need and then some. Plus extra friendly and welcoming staff that do their best to make sure you can get your naughty needs met. This place come Halloween is also top notch for well priced, well made costumes of all sorts. Thank God there's a Dr. around.
I will definitely NEVER be returning to this JOKE of a store. I went in to buy a bottle of "Rush", I paid for the bottle and she retrieved it from a cabinet behind the counter, and as she set the bottle on the counter I could very clearly see that this was definitely one of the counterfeit bottles of Rush that I had read about, the articles I had read about those clearly outlined ways to identify counterfeit bottles of this product, and this was CLEARLY one of those. I could see that it was a fake without even having to touch the bottle, in fact I never did, I never picked it up or laid a finger on it whatsoever, I immediately said that I'd like a refund because this was a counterfeit bottle of Rush.... I was denied a refund and I hadn't even touched the bottle..... These people are crooks. Avoid this place...... Their selection of adult items SUCKS anyway and they're WWAAAAYYY overpriced.
The whole process of buying something here is completely obnoxious. - no bags allowed. Okay, I took out my card and then just went in to buy a simple massager. - get to the register and try to puchase the product. Then get to the register to buy the product to find that I need to run back out to my car to get my ID after they already checked my ID. - then they wrote down some information from my ID and card when purchasing the product. Which made me feel super uncomfortable. - get home to find out my product needed batteries, like they couldn't have told me at the register. - a couple of weeks later, the product I bought fell apart. Take my advice, go to Mischievous. Better quality goods there and not a fraction of the hassle.
I would leave 0 stars if that were possible. Do not go into this store if you value your privacy and/or personal rights. My husband and I weren't 5 steps into the store before the clerk demanded to see and scan our ID'S. Then we were asked to exit the store and leave my purse in the car before we proceeded to look around. We just left. Very ridiculous.
Our trip to this location was very knowledgeable. Our cashier had many different ideas and knew product inside and out. Definitely able to get the proper items we were looking for no problem.
