Dr. Liz Borelli

Dr. Maria-Elizabeth Borelli is a family physician and partner at Horizons Diagnostics, LLC.

I was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and was raised in St. Marys, Georgia. My parents are both physicians, and immigrated from the Philippines in 1967. They taught me the importance of serving others from a young age, and have primarily practiced in rural areas of Georgia and Alabama.

I am a proud graduate of the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) with a degree in Biology and Microbiology and earned my master’s degree from Barry University in Biomedical Sciences. I achieved my M.D. degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, and completed my internship and residency in family medicine at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I am board certified in family medicine. I returned to Georgia in 2009 and became a partner at Horizons Diagnostics, LLC in January 2012. I love getting to know my patients and their families and enjoy teaching.

I married Tony Borelli in April 2009. Tony is a graduate of Auburn University and works at Ft. Benning as an industrial engineer. We are the proud parents of twins born in April 2012, Jackson and Natalie. We are active members at MyChurch Columbus and are avid sports fans.
