Dr. Hammers is the BEST radiology imaging doctor in the New Haven area. I have had many experiences with his practice over many years and every time I have had a 5 star experience. Most recently I went in for a critical issue, which he diagnosed and resolved. He is smart and creative and I highly recommend him.
Years ago my doctor asked me if I'd be willing to drive some distance to go to "the best" ultrasound practice - and of course I said "yes". It's always been worth the effort. Dr. Hammers and his staff are outstanding practitioners and I've always left my appointments knowing what Dr. Hammers thinks of the results and usually with a consultation with him. I couldn't ask for better!
I was severely nervous about the fine needle aspiration of my thyroid today, and I can’t say enough good things about Dr Hammers and his associates. It was quick and painless, and they made me feel so comfortable through the entire procedure. 100 percent recommended and will come back if I need any other biopsies or procedures with no hesitation.
Unfortunately, while my medical experience with Dr. Hammers was great after 6+ months I have not received money back which was an over payment. The office staff continues to ignore and tell me to call their 3rd party billing partner, Physicians Billing..which is the worst. Calls are either dropped or required to hold for 10 minutes without an answer. If you do get through, a bunch of excuses why the funds have not been returned include noting a 3 month wait for a check to be processed. I paid in good faith based on their invoice which was overstated and incorrect. Money has been DUE and my calls have not been returned by office management and the staff could care less. DO NOT pay out of pocket to this office based on their billing. Funds owed are not returned.
I never write reviews but I feel inclined I do so because of this really bad appointment. I had the worst experience I could ever have imagined with the technician Alicia. I have never in my life, had such a horrible experience in the medical field and this was supposed to be a very special appointment. I was very disappointed in the way this appointment went and it stemmed from the attitude and demeanor of this technician. We will not be back at this office. I will say that Dr. Hammers was nice and friendly.
My 14y/o daughter has been a patient of Dr. Hammers for a few years, the staff is wonderful, very respectful to everyone. I can choose to have her imaging done closer to home, but we choose to go to Dr. Hammers.
Very pleasant and comforting Doctor that put me at ease right from the beginning of my "fine needle biopsy" experience..
Very good very professional and sympathetic ito my fears . I would go there again for sure.
