Dr. Salinas has really good bedside manner but his staff is horrible. They take forever to set up appointments and need constant reminders to do the most basic task. I needed a appointment to see a specialist, and after 3 days of nothing I called to see if they had set up the appointment and they told me "the people in charge of doing that didn't come into work today." They got serious administration issues.
I set up app.for my annual physical exam with front desk receptionist for 2/7/23 for lab work, it was done, then she set it up app for physical exam for 2/21/23 I went and made me wait 2 hours, some female dr. Asked me some question and told me about lab results and that was it, I waited another hour in exam room, to find out that they didn't have EKG machine to complete physical exam and changed physical annual exam required by Medical insurance for a regular consult and wanted me to Attend another Dr visit next month for physical, to make me look that I went today for a regular consult. Dr Salinas is a good doctor but his staff is very disorganized. I will change doctor today.
I called to make an appointment, got asked if i was a current patient, i answered no im a new patient, got told to come in the next day at 8:30 am just to be told they don't have new patient appointments until 2 weeks!! Vary bad service! Lost a day of work for nothing!!
Terrible experience, was scheduled for an appointment at 230, I show up and they are closed until 3 because they are on lunch, I sat around waiting until 405 waiting to be called to the back before I decided to leave
Dr Salinas and the young female Dr there are great doctors, his PA is horrible some older lady. She's unprofessional, gives her opinion instead of a diagnosis. I don't pay for judgement or her opinion I pay to get a diagnosis and treatment. There's been several times the staff forget to give me a referral and when I call to go back and get it, they force me to pay for another visit and see the Dr again even though they lost the paper not me. If that lady is there the office is basically empty, I know I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with her.
I honestly dont recommend this doctor. They take about 3 hrs or more. 2 in the waiting room and 30-40 in the room the doctor is never there is always his assistant who attends you. It seems like none of them know what they're doing. They had told me they were going to give me a reference for eye vision and it took them 2 weeks to give it. They said they were going to call me to let me know when it was ready which they never did I had to call to ask and they're sending me to a eye surgeon -.- some nurses are really rude as well. If you can go to another place do it! Also there's not that much parking so it gets full fast.
This Doctor is a brilliant person. My Aunt had been treated by several doctors from Brownsville and was still feeling ill. I took her to see Dr. Mariano Salinas and his medical decisions have saved her Life. We are grateful.
The negligence of this office has impacted my life painfully. I have spent over six months trying to get an injury diagnosed, only to be ghosted by the office and lied to. Repeatedly they tell me that phone calls were made to get in contact, and that voicemails were left on my phone... checked my phone records and that was a lie. When i bring up complaints to the doctors and nurses, I am made to feel as if it is my own fault that i’m suffering. This office literally gaslighted me because it’s easier than working with basic compassion. Mariano Salinas actually helped give birth to me in ‘96! that fact alone used to amuse me. Now i feel as if a chunk of my life has been taken away. Can they promise me that I can still get that back? Also what’s the point of collecting emails if you’re not going to utilize them?
Worst place these ppl have no understanding on ppls finances can’t even accept payment plans and I do have insurance so it’s not like I don’t have a job.
Been with this doctor since 2004 in Alamo office delivered all my children. It practically feels like family when I go their awesome, I love it.
