Dr. Moises Roizental is a Board Certified Vascular and Interventional Radiologist. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, where he served as the Chief of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at Policlinica Metropolitana, and Fellowship Director, he has over 15 years experience in endovascular procedures. In addition to his vast experience in a variety of arterial and venous therapies, he has special interest and expertise in minimally invasive treatment for uterine fibroids, has pioneered the procedure in Latin America performing Uterine Artery Embolization since 1997.
Dr. Roizental received his medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He completed his radiology residency at Deaconess Hospital, Harvard Medical School where he served as chief resident, and his vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at the Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute.
He is renowned for his outstanding research on the endovascular management of vascular disease. He has conducted significant studies in this area at Harvard University, Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute, and the Universidad Central de Venezuela and Policlinica Metropolitana Caracas. He has written extensively and presented his findings at annual meetings for national and international societies, is a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology and currently is a member of the Board of Directors of the Iberoamerican Society of Interventional Radiology SIDI
Moisés Roizental, MD, FSIR, es Radiólogo Vascular e Intervencionista Certificado por el American Board y Director Médico de North Miami Vascular Care en North Miami Beach, Fl. Originario de Caracas, Venezuela, se desempeñó como Jefe de Radiología Vascular e Intervencionista y Director de Fellowship en la Policlínica Metropolitana, posee casi 20 años de experiencia en procedimientos endovasculares.
Además de su vasta experiencia en una variedad de terapias arteriales y venosas, tiene especial interés en el tratamiento mínimamente invasivo de los fibromas uterinos, siendo pionero en realizar embolizaciones de la arteria uterina en América Latina en el año 1997.
El Dr. Roizental recibió su título de médico de la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Completó su Residencia de Radiología en el Hospital Deaconess, Harvard Medical School, donde se desempeñó como jefe residente, y su Fellowship de Radiología Vascular Intervencionista en el Miami Cardiac y Vascular Institute.
Es famoso por su destacada investigación sobre el tratamiento endovascular de enfermedades vasculares. Ha realizado estudios significativos en esta área en la Universidad de Harvard, el Instituto Cardíaco y Vascular del Baptist Hospital, y la Universidad Central de Venezuela y la Policlínica Metropolitana en su natal Caracas. Ha escrito extensamente y presentado sus hallazgos en reuniones anuales para sociedades nacionales e internacionales, es miembro de la Sociedad de Radiología Intervencionista y actualmente es miembro de la Junta Directiva de la Sociedad Iberoamericana de Radiología Intervencionista SIDI.
