I called the dr office today as my daughter wasn't feeling well and we were trying to get an appt for her. I was told basically that I am no longer welcome because I am a self pay. Way to Go and show compassion. I pay for every visit up front so they get their money more quickly with a self pay then havign to wait for insurance to settle up. I am a client for years and you would think someone would have called me to tell me instead of me find out this way. Way to make me feel terrible.
What a shame that the booking staff is so incredibly rude. Dr Barbarite, Mary, and the nurses are awesome, but the women who answer the phones are among the rudest people, particularly Charlene. My suggestion is to get your information straight before jumping down a patient's throat. Communication that was stated to have come from the office did not occur, but try to explain that to Charlene, and she strikes a nasty tone and slams the phone down on you like a child. Kudos to the pleasant young lady who called to verify my insurance information, a true professional who was kind and friendly. All is good on my end, I will be switching doctors to eliminate any future interaction with this extremely unprofessional individual as this isn't my first unpleasant experience with the scheduling team. It seems I should have paid more attention to the reviews... A tip...it's not what you say but how you say it.
I see Mary Barbarite and she is absolutely brilliant. When you get in with her, she spends her time she is caring and compassionate. However, since this practice was bought out, I can’t even get someone to call me back. I was so sick this week and no one calls me back and then they call me back at 4 o’clock on a Friday so I’ve been having to go to urgent care. I’m incredibly frustrated because I don’t wanna leave Mary but their system is not working.!
I have been a patient of Dr Barbarite’s for 20 years. Ever since his practice was incorporated into a bigger practice, it has become impossible to so much as get a prescription refilled, or refilled right. The clerical staff is rude and lies. I stood at CVS when they called the doctor’s office to renew my prescription. 3 days in a row I did this. On the fourth day I called Dr Barbarite’s office and the lady as usual was so rude and lied saying that CVS never called. By that point I had been without my medication for two weeks! Dr. Barbarite and his wife are GREAT people. But it is simply not worth being a patient of his practice anymore when you have to bend over backwards to try to get your medications refilled.
Dr. Barbarite is the most brilliant doctor. He took care of my mom for many years caring for her as if she was his mother. My husband and I also see Dr. Barbarite. We have been seeing him for 35 years and we have had wonderful care. He is an excellent diagnostician and caring doctor. There is no better!
APRN Margeaux is a very kind and caring person. I refer to her as Dr Margeaux, she is very knowledgeable, I have being living in South Florida for over 30 years and she is the first Dr checked my feet. This lady is so detailed she is the best in my opinion. Also star her assistant is so kind and awesome Thank you Dr Margeaux and Star From Stewart Carvalho
Been going to this office for 8 years being passed around to different PAs. Never met the doc till I went in and sat there until he went over a bad cardiac test result with me, 4 days later than promised. I always wondered how sick I need to be to see him. I guess quadruple bypass surgery doesn't make the cut. Foolishly expected at least a perfunctory phone call to see how I was doing or if there are any signs of infection etc. after my surgery. I had to go in to tell them to raise one of my diabetes meds from starter dose to full dose before my surgery to promote proper healing. I should not have to be so proactive about my health, as it was obvious to anyone who read my labs that my dose was insufficient. The wonderful PA who FINALLY listened and ordered my test was gone by the next week, leaving me hanging. Definitely feel as though I fell through the cracks. Good thing that I can advocate for myself, feel bad for the seniors who can't.
This is the worst doctor and business I can imagine. Doctor Barbarite sold his office to a large company and it went down the drain. Dr Barbarite is not fit or healthy in any way, he prescribed me the wrong medication 3 times in a row and tried to prescribe me with a medication that was not proven to treat COVID . Gave it to me without an appointment. This is the most crooked doctors office you can imagine and none of the staff is friendly or welcoming at all. Everything about this establishment is an abomination and this doctor should feel ashamed for the malpractice he conducts.
Any doctor in this office is so thorough. The management is awesome. Sheila and June have helped me so much to get me in. I loved Dr. Barbarite and his doctors . Osh was new and she is amazing . I do not know everyone’s name but, I thank you all very much
I have been waiting for three weeks now for a referral. Three weeks, One visit to their office where they promised they would take care of my case, and at least 4 calls later, nothing has happened. I have never in my life seen such a lack of professionalism in the healthcare business. Absolutely terrible… if you are thinking of scheduling an appointment go somewhere else where -at least- they can give you a solution Note for the office of Dr. Barbarite: I can’t wait for your nice ‘copy and paste’ public answer. Very professional as well. It shows how much you care for your clients. Not patients. CLIENTS.
