I am a concerned parent for my child. The last appointment that I had with this office resulted in my child not being treated. The director of the office displayed to my children, myself, and other patients the most lowest form of unprofessionalism I had ever seen in my 15+ years as a nursing field worker. I called and made an appointment so that my child could be seen that day. I got there an hour late and was badgered about being late and not calling in to let the staff know that I was going to be late. I did not appreciated being fussed at by the Hispanic female working the reception desk about - a circumstance I could not help got in behind two moving houses with no flag men or police. I took my seat after the encounter with her and more medical staff joined to the front behind the receptionist desk. I over heard them say, "next time just cancel the appointment". I responded back with an, "I don't care", just to let them know that, Yes I AM HEAR YOU and what you are saying and I don't like what I hearing. I immediately within that office at that moment got on my phone and began to call around for another pediatrician. Afterwards, the Director approached me within the lobby telling me she wanted to see me in her office "NOW" pointing her finger, eyes wide with demanding tone. I told her I wasn't going anywhere with her to talk about nothing with her attitude the way it was. She said fine and then began to discuss THE PERSONAL MATTERS OF MY CHILD right out in the lobby in front of another parent and her children. I did not want to suffer anymore embarrassment, so I left. Child untreated and totally disrespected. I received a letter from their office 2 days later saying they did not want me to come back. I have delt with patients my self when they have had sick family members and the family member was either confused and desperate for an answer to why their loved one was sick. I understand the stress levels and the anxiety. However, never once did I ever belittle any human being. if you were frustrated with me... you did not have to take it out on my child. Dr. Womack is an excellent doctor that knows his work and is very passionate about it that was why I chose him. But to h*ll with his nursing staff. Note: If you are a black female with a bi-racial child.... I would not recommend it.
I would never recommend going to this doctor. We took off work to take our son to see Dr.Womak. After being sick for a week we were told by his office to come in today. I had to go back to get the antibiotics prescription he forgot to wright down. Then the pharmacy informs me the cough med the dr prescribed is not a prescription anymore. It cost over $70 and insurance wouldn't cover it. They called him and he wouldn't sub anything different. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. Transferring records today!
Our family has used Dr. Womack at The Clinic for Children for years. Awesome doctor and staff. We will not go anywhere else.
I've been seeing dr. Womack and I'm 15 years of age and i have never had a problem with him ever since i have been there.
