Dr.Syed K.Hussain-Inter-Valley Neurological Surgery

Brownsville and mission location are both the same. I heard about 5 different persons with a 1pm appointment. They over book people and make you wait for hours. I undsrstand hes a surgeon and is on call but there has to be some other way to handle the long wait times. My dad isint very ill fortunatly but theres patients that ive seen there litetally a few days out of surgery and waiting for hours.

I went in for a spinal injection and 30 minutes later I started having bad chest pains, pain in left arm, it hurt to breath and intense headache, I called the office at 4:45pm and they told me they were gone for the day to the hospital, after my 3rd hospital visit I was informed I had a Dural puncture and was leaking spinal fluid. I followed up with dr hussain 2x after the incident and I am still experiencing headaches, weakness in my arms, light sensitivity and he told me it was something else and not related to the injection, that I needed to see a neurologist.

How does this quack continue to practice? I went in for spinal surgery and came out with a mostly paralyzed left arm. He said it would recover. Over a year later and it still hasn’t come back to normal. AND I’m left handed! I hope he reads this! I’d sue him if I could.

We took my husband for memory loose and had about 5 visits. He never seemed to be interested in his health but his family doctor insisted we finish off with him before leaving him. They book so many people that the wait is hours. Very ridiculously long. We ended up not going anymore. All we did was waist our time. I do NOT recommend this doctor for any memory issues.

After seeing 3 others Neurosurgeons, I can't say enough about how pleased we are with Dr. Hussain. Just had Lumbar fusion from L4 - S1 and feeling good. Though the office visits might be long waits, that's the least of my worries when it comes to my health. What I like about Dr. Hussain is he always leaves the door open for questions and gives you options for treatment, never forcing anything upon you. He explains things in a way you can understand. I would highly recommend him anytime. Thank you Dr. Hussain and Staff.

I did not actually meet this doctor. I had an appointment at noon and I arrived to find a locked door with 10 people waiting outside in 95 degree heat. Later after they opened the clinic, I went inside. I counted 18 people in the lobby for ONE doctor. I looked him up on Google and saw several poor reviews. Decided to cancel my appointment on the spot and ask my provider for a new referral. I estimate the wait time alone would have been 2-3 hours.

Terrible office staff. My aunt was in his care for seven months with a open head wound after surgery that seeped. Finally a procedure was done to close it up after months of nothing being done. We came for a week to pick her up and move her things back home. The office was called from the first day we were there that we would need medical records and a question about prescribed medication that was running out and will she need more. Put on hold for twenty minutes then hung up on. Called back and the scenario repeated again. Called back and told them we were in the process of leaving and we needed to know if she needed the prescription refilled and again about the medical records . This time the doctor was not available but medical records would cost 25.00 dollars . We asked to be called back but that never happen. Called the following day once again no one knew anything someone would call back . Never happened. Finally we called for the medical records and was told we could pick them up on Friday. Called Friday they did not know if the records were ready yet and told them we will be coming at 11.00am and the woman said okay. Got to office at 11 an it was closed . Answering service said everyone left at 10.20am. They don’t know anything , they don’t do anything so I am asuming they don ‘t care. Do not let a love one go to this place. You would get better communication with a Vet’s office about your dog .

Horrible experience! Dad had surgery with Dr Hussain. It was an emergency surgery and we didn't have a choice according to mcallen medical center staff but to allow Syed Hussain do the surgery. It has been a nightmare ever since he completed the surgery. It's been 4 weeks since the surgery and he won't return any of our phone calls. This is unacceptable and so nerve racking!! We have so many questions regarding what to do next with my dad, especially since the recovery IS NOT GOING WELL. What a horrible experience and I hope this review helps others make a better informed decision before Hussain performs any procedures on your loved ones. Ugh, I'm so disgusted with this whole situation! Answer your ^&$&^$*&^%*&^ PHONE !!!

I've seen this Dr. 3 times for an injection for pain. I've been waiting for 2 weeks for my last appointment but keep getting the runaround from these unprofessional girls that work there. All the reviews posted are very true. You wait 2 hrs. to be seen and he's in & out in 5 minutes. I'm disgusted, especially with Stephanie, who doesn't have the professionalism to call me back. I was all ready for surgery, had made up my mind to get it over with but now I'm finding another doctor. He might be in such a rush he could leave something inside me. I'M DONE

Beyond upset ! Have been waiting 2 months for a MRI referral I've called every week for a status and every single time they leave me on hold for over 15 minutes this is uncalled for and very unprofessional. They literally leave u on hold until their office closes and just hang up on you. This is very disappointing and aggravating. These so called receptionists are terrible and should be fired it's not the first or second time its every single time I call... very disappointed in this clinic and the staff.. Dr. HUSSAIN is very nice and love the way he works but terrible staff makes his office look bad.
