It saddens me when I see some of the low ratings. Dr. Yen took over my care after moving here to Bethlehem about 6 weeks after having oral cancer surgery in Connecticut. He has been compassionate and caring and easily compliments my previous ENT for the treatment plan that was recommended for me. I was proactive in finding a doctor before I moved here as recommended by my previous surgeon in Connecticut. I'm glad I was, because it took me 3 months to get an appointment. He is a humble, friendly and caring doctor. It is true that once in his office it's usually a long waiting time. When it's my turn I know that he will not rush me and address my questions and concerns
Dr Bedrosian was the best! Was really nice to meet Dr. Yen as well. Extremely professional, friendly, gentle in my ear and funny too! Highly recommend
Dr.Yen did my surgery before leaving the St Luke's office to move to his Bethlehem office. He did a fantastic job and explained everything thoroughly. My issue is, once he left, even though he promised to continue my care, he refused to see me. His patients must now be fully vaccinated to come to his new office. So I set up a virtual appointment. He canceled the virtual appointment because I had missed my last follow up at the St. Luke's office due to being dizzy. He claimed it must not be an emergency and I need to follow up with another doctor now. Extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. Highly disappointed.
I had a bad experience with the lady dr . there. That seen me for my ear infection. She did a funga test then said if it tested positive she'd call me to get a different ear drop prescription for the fungus in my ear. She never called me and and I had black fungus in my ear. The test results came back positive for fungus.
Edited to add/change: I'm changing this review because after not having health insurance due to my husband's job loss during the pandemic. My family and I finally got health insurance this year. I called and tried to schedule an appointment with Dr. Yen through the front desk in January. The front desk asked me if I was vaccinated and I said no. The front desk flat out told me Dr. Yen only sees vaccinated patients. I am absolutely disgusted that Dr. Yen refused to see because I am not vaccinated. I will no longer see him and will see someone else in the office who supports medical freedom. Define irony. Being hard of hearing and not able to read the staff lips because they are covered with masks. You'd think the staff would wear masks with the clear opening or face cover so deaf /HOH patients could read lips in an ENT office? ----------------------------------------------------- I am someone who has dealt with chronic middle ear disease, bilateral cholesteatomas and multiple surgeries since I was 3 years old. My childhood doctor set the bar for me as to what to look for in an ENT doctor. I was heartbroken when he told me he was retiring. After going to several other different doctors from age 12-20. I found Dr. Yen in Bethlehem. I can tell alot about a doctor by the way he tugs on my ear. Dr. Yen is patient, kind and honest. He explains things thoroughly and refers out when needed. I highly recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Yen and staff were quick to help me get an appointment as referred from my primary physician. The clinical and office staff were pleasant with excellent safety protocols in place. Dr. Yen was great and helped me solve a chronic problem I'd been experiencing for years.
Dr Yen was absolutely amazing . Never have I had a doctor who took the time to explain everything so thoroughly before and after surgery. He has great bed-side manners and someone you can feel relaxed and confident with. I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Yen is the best of the best. He's a straight shooter and informative without making you feel overwhelmed. I trust him with my life which is exactly what you could hope for in a doctor. I spent 10+ years with another ENT before finally deciding to switch to another practice. It took Dr. Yen one visit to figure out what the other guy hadn't in over a decade. My surgeries were scheduled after that first visit and a year later I'm so much healthier and infinitely happier.
Dr Yen, suffice of how busy he is or how far behind in schedule, he takes his time explaining to me what I have, what the treatment options are and helps me to have a better understanding of my condition. I am blessed to have him care for me. He gives his undivided attention and that is a plus when having a patient and doctor relationship.
I’m so thankful that I’ve been able to find/see Dr. Yen, since my ears are very complicated and he’s very familiar with all my surgeries! I love how much time he takes to talk, listen and explain things with me. It’s always a reassurance to go see him and every visit is such a wonderful experience!
