Great old school beach bar vibes. Phenomenal food and great service at an affordable price. Can't beat it! Highly recommend stopping in here for some grub. The oysters are better than in Corpus and not as expensive. The catfish is sooo good. Their tarter and cocktail sauces are on point and freshly made. Had them with my catfish, frog legs and hush puppies. Not sure what other peoples problem is, but it’s not expensive, the service was fantastic and the food taste
Was told this place is a 40+ year SA landmark and I believe it. The food was very good and appropriately price. Will be back. The seafood gumbo was amazing, the oysters fresh and they shuck them right at the bar in front of you! Didn’t get the all you can eat shrimp, but saw plenty and it looked amazing! The servers were busting their butts to make sure everyone was happy with their experience, and were extremely personable! Definitely recommend.
Would NOT recommend! Worst service ever! I came with my family and they were NOT busy. Two of us ordered the “All You Can Eat” shrimp. It was NOT all you can eat. The dishes were served smaller and slower each time. We waited 20 minutes for a small plate! Our server was rude and hardly checked on us. They might as well have forgotten about us. Nearly impossible to get a refill. Never coming back. Not worth the money spent.
Enjoyed the food at the Dry Dock. I ordered the fried Tilapia with fries, shrimp and hushpuppies. My friend ordered the dozen of oysters and shrimp with fries. It was a beautiful day to sit outdoors on the patio. You could also sit indoors either at the bar or the enclosed patio. Excellent service by our waiter Jason. Very friendly and came back often to make sure we were being taken care of. Also enjoyed the slice of Key Lime pie.
Our "all you can eat" shrimp was 2 plates. Roughly 10 shrimp per person. Getting those 2 plates took 45 minutes. We were not offered a refund, free desert, discount, nothing. So we basically paid to sit, eat a very light snack when we wanted a MEAL, pay full price and leave hungry.Food: 1/5
You are going to feel like you're down by the coast. Everything is very fresh. Great oysters. Tuesdays and Thursdays all you can eat shrimp and it comes three ways fried, boiled or peel your own. Nice big mugs of beer ICE COLD. Gracie was great very friendly very helpful. Need to put this on the regular agenda. As we were leaving I ran into an old friend that said her and her husband go there every Thursday night. She said they've been doing it for years so that should tell you something. I don't think anybody could leave disappointed, full and barely walking but not disappointed! PS don't forget to get extra Hush Puppies LOL UPDATE... Still a good meal but, this visit left me a bit disappointed. Went on a Thursday for "all you can eat" shrimp but apparently it was "all we can get to your table" shrimp night. The servers were trying, but they said the kitchen lost their footing and couldn't keep up. I've been a server, a cook, a bartender and a manager. Things happen. I got that 100% but how a company rebounds from a "hick up" in a diners experiance is what will stay with their patrons. The servers were more than kind. I heard them having to apologize from table to table. As a manager, I would have hit the floor making sure the guests were not upset. A free dessert. A free or discounted meal. Even just an open apology for each table or each room might have been nice. I may be back, but if I do, if I see a lot of cars outside I may not want to risk this episode again. Parking: Shopping center parking Kid-friendliness: They will love the being in a "boat" feeling Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. Including ramp.
For a Tuesday evening, service took forever, waited over an hour for food. Waitress had an attitude if we asked for drinks, fish was dry and calamari imitation. "Shrimp cocktail" appetizer not mentioned it is ceviche style Would not recommend
It felt more like a night bar to eat but food was good, atmosphere was ok Parking: As long as it's not crowded there's plenty of parking Kid-friendliness: I didn't take my kids but I think it's ok Wheelchair accessibility: Getting in is ok buy you would have to sit way in the back and I don't know how service is back there cuz you are far away
It was a "NO" the service was a 5 out of 5 but the food was horrible for the price.. 61 dollars for catfish that was thin and tasted like dirty oil.. I'd say save your money and head down to bud Jones..
Today was our first time visiting Dry Dock Oyster Bar, we ordered Fish and Chips and Buffalo Chicken Wings, along with a beer and sweet tea, all was delicious. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful, definitely worth a visit.
