Rudest staff I’ve ever encountered! My girlfriend had an appointment, called to let the front desk know she was running 5 mins late. After stating Drybar has a grace period of 15 minutes, the front desk employee immediately rescinded stating, “We can change our policy at our discretion.” Weird. THEN she had the audacity to say “We will need to change your type of appointment, or you will be charged for the whole original booking.” This was before the front desk employee realized there was never a card on file Appointment was booked at a different salon. DO NOT BOOK HERE
This was the worst experience. They were running late and my girl was clearly in a hurry to get home. Awful blow out and barely curled my hair. My daughters hair turned out cute but then her curls were completely out in less than 2 hours. For what they charged it was a waste! Do not go here.
First time trying out DryBar to do my hair for an event I have tonight. 20mins into my scheduled appointment they cancelled my appointment. Now I’m scrambling to figure out what to because I suck at styling my own hair. Find reliable employees, seems like this is a trend based on other reviews
Front desk tried to cancel my appt 12 hours before, but managed to schedule me a little later. You just don't do that on a Friday afternoon. Anyways, front desk extremely unfriendly when I arrived. I just gave 3 stars because the person who did my hair was super nice and did a great job COCOdeserved 5 star!!!
Just canceled me 30 minutes before my appointment and they had nothing to offer the rest of the day. Asked for a credit since we get charged if we cancel on our end that close to an appointment and told they don’t do those anymore. Had an important meeting. Would never trust this location.
This review is of a service I received in May. I know it is months later but I thought it would stop bothering me and it hasn’t. I went to get a blowout in May of 22 for my going away party for work. I have ice blonde hair and it is toned. The stylist refused to wash my hair in cold water and told me it “wouldn’t be clean”. I have had this hair color for 8 years. I wash my hair in only cold water and soap makes it clean. I protested and she refused and used hot water to wash my hair, ruining my toner. She didn’t even offer a purple shampoo which I just found out at the Irvine Spectrum location doesn’t even cost extra. I will never return to this location. My curls fell out in an hour and she was really unprofessional. It took me almost a year to trust this business again and try a different location. The only reason I am giving more than one star is because the front desk staff was absolutely wonderful. Still won’t be returning though.Service: Blowouts
I was running three minutes late and called to let them know - they said they were running a little behind anyway so it was no big deal. After sitting for about 20min and noticing that no one seemed even close to done, I went to ask. The woman at the desk was very sweet and ran around checking with everyone, but it was at least another 15minutes. This was for my courthouse wedding and being late wasn’t an option, so I had to just leave and race home to go do my own hair which I hate and am terrible at. I honestly hated how I looked in the photos which, who cares, not that important, but still. I tried to be nice and they felt bad, but I haven’t heard from them and all they offered me was a $15 credit for “next time”, which never showed up. Unfortunately I’ve just never had a good experience at a drybar, even though they usually do a good job. Management needs to figure out the scheduling and customer care. Running 40 min behind for a service that is pretty much all event-based is unacceptable.
I love the dry bar!! I always go to the Marine Del Rey location. It's easy for me to make a Appointment I always get the time I need. there is one stylist that does such an amazing job and she’s the only one that I go to. I always leave the dry bar feeling so pretty. the dry bar is a place where you can get your hair washed and blow dried. It's Quick and easy you can get it styled in a couple different ways but that’s it they specialize in just wash and blow dry no coloring no cuts. It cost about $49 that's not bad. The dry bar is many locations all of the state's. I went to the dry bar in Atlanta. When you are getting your hair done they offer you. Tea, water, Champagne or Mamosa‘s. Drybar is a great place to get your hair done.
First DryBar experience and most likely my last. I paid extra for a hair massage that lasted maybe maybe 2 mins. When I asked at the front before paying, she said massage is usually 5-8 mins. When I told her I barely got 2, she said “every stylist has their own technique”. Not worth the cost that’s for sure.
I went here twice in a week for the same dry hair style. The first time went great. The second time the stylist refused to not use product, then used the product to braid so tight that days later my scalp is sore and my hair is falling out and damaged. I can not express how much I recommend you find a real salon and don’t let these people touch your hair. **Was refunded for this service, and I wanted to edit this review to include that I was able to receive a refund. That being said, all money refunded and then some will be spent with my hair dresser next week trying to reverse the damage.Service: Braids
