I had high hopes for this place but was completely let down. My husband took me here for my birthday dinner and I was sorely disappointed. First they did not have enough staff for the amount of customers they were serving, and because of the short staffing, it took a long time even just to get our drinks. The decor was nice and it was clean. But when It came to the food, I felt like it was a little tasteless. We each had the steak dinner. The steaks had no seasoning whatsoever, not even salt or pepper. What made it edible was the garlic butter they put on top. It was the only flavor it had. The fries tasted like the ones that come from Burger King. Their tea was good. The baked potato we got was supposed to be loaded, and it didn't even have butter. We had to ask for butter and sour cream just so we could eat it. One of our dinner rolls was burnt. We had Fried zucchini as our appetizer and that was good. I will say They tried to make it right by giving us a free dessert. We have their bread pudding, I didn't care for it because I felt it was too soggy or moist, but my husband liked it.
Spacious family-friendly restaurant right of 44. Few good choices for kids, sandwiches, fish, ribs and endless salad bar. Catfish basket was perfect size and you should ask for their rolls - they are freshly baked. Great service and atmosphere.
Ever said "they don't make it like that anymore?" Here they do! Everything made from scratch, homestyle, so tasty. Salad bar is best I've ever seen, casinos / resorts included. Roasted red peppers, 4 greens, mountain of blue cheese or feta, so many made-from-scratch sides. >> PRO TIP >> I call it Sunday "Sweet Spot" between 10:30am - 12p, you can get salad bar AND brunch buffet for only $14! Vegetarian options: Epic salad bar! Wheelchair accessibility: Brand new facility for long established owners. Very accessible.
The food is all amazing. The unique ice cream blends are both fun and delicious. I ate the Tiger King and I loved it. It was the perfect stoping place for a good meal! “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬
Got seated pretty fast, but had to wait 10-15 for someone to take our drink orders even though they were busy at all. After we got our drinks, the waiter came back and asked if we were ready to order, but hadn’t brought us menus yet? We ordered the salad bar with our lunch, which is very poorly set up. It’s a stretch to reach the stuff in the back, if you have short arms, I don’t think you could reach the stuff in the back. Crazy! After getting our salad, we had to wave done the waiter for silverware. Our order came out in a timely manor. The food was pretty mediocre - not what one would expect from a “higher end” restaurant; Think Dennys quality. The waiter was very friendly, but clearly inexperienced. Overall, it wasn’t horrible, and if you don’t go in with high expectations you won’t be let down.
I have been wanting to stop here for awhile and had the chance to go for lunch. I arrived at 11 and it wasn't very busy but a steady group of customers came through. Prices were a little higher than I expected but that is the case with most things these days. I ordered shrimp Alfredo. It came with 5 good sized shrimp that were cooked well but the sauce was not good. You could buy better from the grocery store. It was very bland and thin, there was also waaaay too much of it. I tried to add parm to help but it didn't do much. The salad bar was great. Lots of options. I did see a few fruit flies in there so that kind of turned me off of some things but there were a lot of great prepared salad options as well which I always appreciate. Service was great. Food portions are large. Everyone was kind and timely. My server offered a discount because I didn't like the sauce which I appreciate. All in all I think I would go back again. Their breakfast looks amazing or I'll just stick to a sandwich next time.
Run of the mill is the best I can describe DKI. It's not bad food, but it's also nothing special either. The steak was decent, but not really what I expected from a steak house. The catfish was also decent, but right across the way at Rich's you'll find much better. The burgers are decent, but again, Rich's or even Denny's would suit you better. The chicken strips were over cooked, and tasted like they were cooked in old grease? Overall, other than the chicken strips nothing was worth complaining about. I also wouldn't brag about it either. Just pretty, eh....
I had high hopes for this place. I had the roast beef, green beans, mashed potatoes and the salad bar. The roast beef tasted like it had been sitting in water. No flavor at all even with the little bit of brown gravy they put on it. The salad bar was ok but nothing is marked. The best part of my meal was my mashed potatoes. They had plenty of seasoning. My husband had a burger, French fries, and salad bar. His burger was so dry he couldn’t even eat half of it. Will not be back.
Very nice restaurant. Love the decor and it has a family friendly atmosphere. I've been here a few times. Each time it seems like the food is getting more meh. Their salad bar is great but half the plates I picked up had stuff on them. I don't think it was from them not being wash properly but not sure where the source was coming from. I had the catfish and fries basket. Catfish was cooked well and seasoning was decent but the fries were cold and the flavor wasn't that great. I also wasn't a fan of the tartar sauce but I appreciate that is was homemade. Service was great and like I said the place overall is nice but the food isn't anything to rave over.
So impressed with DKI. It was 7:40 and I wanted to take my parents out for dinner. Drove up and noticed they closed at 8. Went in and asked if they would mind if we ate there, if they had time. And they were so inviting! Tierra is AMAZING!! Food was the bomb ! So so good glad we stopped by. Thank you!!!! Highly recommend.
