intelligentsia Cup -- Conceived in the late 1970s by local cycling legend John Vande, the race was resurrected in 2015 and has multiple unique course features, including a round-about, multiple power climbs and a tight final turn. This race in Glen Ellyn was the first stop on the 2023 Triple Crown! Glen Ellyn, Winfield, and Lombard races are run as an omnium.
This is one of the few grass fields left in the Chicago area for high school football. It is most often in pristine condition since it is covered throughout the year when not used for football. There is nice padded track encircling the field. Stands are available for both visitors and home. The home also has a decent press box for video and stats. The view is what is most impressive. It is located at the base of Lake Ellyn, and is simply a stunning venue.

Wonderful location, but a bit surprising that it's still a real turf field. I was present for a rainy and windy football game and both teams struggled as the field got muddier and muddier. I totally get that the stadium does not have lights with the proximity to the homes and retention pond. The stands were typical high school style and absolutely meet those expectations. Overall, the school buildings, pond, homes and trees make it a very picturesque location.
Cool and sunny Saturday afternoon, reflection of the fall foliage colors dancing on Lake Ellyn, just beautiful. No wonder ESPN has rated this football stadium on their places to watch a football game
Amazing place to watch high school football. Fantastic setting next to the castle-like school building and overlooking the lake. Throw in a winning Glenbard West team, dedicated fans, easy accessibility/seating for families and strollers and some decent concessions and it's a great experience!

Great track to use, rarely find it too busy, wonderful place to get some track/speed work in and enjoy being around others doing the same or walking laps together.
Very nice field but make sure you bring a cap and lots of water when you are waiting for your child to graduate
