Never disappointed excellent food. Friendly atmosphere. Under new ownership.
I have visited duck town restaurant multiple times, and have tried multiple items off the menu. I have yet to try something that I didn’t love. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an amazing meal at a great price. Will be coming back for sure!
Alex catered a lunch for 30+ people at the restaurant for us. He was helpful with suggestions for the menu, very reasonably priced, and the food was great. His shrimp skewers and chocolate mousse cake were especially delicious! We were very pleased with the service, quality of the food, and Alex was a pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend Ducktown Restaurant for dinner or your catering needs.
My son and I had a wonderful dinner at the Ducktown Restaurant at 246 Walsh Ave, New Windsor, NY 12553. I had a strip steak with a portobello mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, string beans usually served with asparagus but they were out which was fine with me, and six beautiful shrimp. He had a large Mexican pizza. The chef did a spectacular job on the food with everything seasoned to perfection. The service was excellent and the place has been remodeled and under new management. I give it 5 stars and will go again many times. With great food and value the portions were perfect for only $44 who wouldn't make it a favorite spot to eat at.
Our group of 25 shared a sumptuous meal here last night, with fine service and delightful dishes. Alex and I liana were gracious hosts, Diego at the bar and Deb in the dining room tended us with great cheer. We all look forward to returning.
very delicious! Love the poison tacos, summer salad and skewers.
Very tasty! Great guacamole dip!! Alex makes his own fresh tortillas chips! Dinner chicken franchise is excellent! Try the gnocchi pasta! Broccoli Rabb! Was great!!
The place looks from the outside like a dive or some poor semi fast food place. The inside is clean but also very humble. Tables, same. Decor could be improved, but then, like in a fairy tale, you may talk to owner and chef Alex, whose last name I did not ask. And there the expectation begins. Alex’s description of his dishes sat up a high standard, but his tone and clear love of cooking kept coming through his words and manners in such a way as to make his claims believable. We ordered and now the stage was set. Waiting for this man from Mexico with a love of French cooking to deliver. And that Alex did. Appetizers, entree and dessert were all first class in presentation, freshness, flavor and tenderness. I was in heaven. There are few places I have been to where the cooking is so thoroughly excellent. From my calamari and David’s Poisoned Tacos” to my Rustic Salmon and his Chicken with spinach and green beans, and culminating with the spectacular Tiramisu and Molten Lava cake desserts, I was besides myself. fI could not help but to hug Alex when he came around. A true feast for the mouth and from there to the heart. The evening developed into a family/community event when the unexpected karaoke started and we were once again amazed by the quality of the sound. The singers were also a surprise, delightful though with different degrees of ability. In conclusion, go and check it out for yourself. If you’re as lucky as I, you’ll be smiling the whole time.
The food is very good here...tasty, good portions, and reasonably priced. Burgers are top notch...recently had their dinner special of surf and turf...NY strip with several large, grilled shrimp...juicy, tasty, and reasonably priced. Homemade mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus complemented this great meal. The interior has been refreshed and updated. The owners and employees are trying hard to reestablish a neighborhood landmark. People rant about buying local...this is local! Check it out! They do breakfast too!
First time here, and worth the review. Had the Surf and Turf. Excellent steak, excellent shrimp, excellent potatoes. I can honestly say, this is a hidden gem of a restaurant in the Newburgh/New Windsor area. The staff is incredibly friendly, local wine, I'm legitimately at their establishment writing this, right now, because it's worth it. Excellent pricing, perfect portion sizes. If you haven't been here, you're missing out. If 6 star ratings existed, they'd have it. Didn't take a photo of the food, too busy enjoying every bite.
