Yes wait times are usually long but you are seeing specialist that are treating all very unique situations from one patient to the next. The eye is a very complex organ that is very sensitive to the procedure or medications that you are taking. I’ve traveled all over the country over the past forty years with my unique eye disorder and have been to all the major eye clinics. They all are usually running behind because of all the different symptoms and conditions out their. Once in a great while you can actually get in and out in a reasonable time. Patience is required when seeing most eye specialist in our country. He staff including the doctors have treated me well at this location the few times that I’ve been here. If you want to see longer wait times try some of the major cities/eye centers, where they also charge for parking while you wait.
I went in for my appointment today and was prepared for the usual long wait. They asked if I had any Covid symptoms. I answered, no. They asked if I had had a recent Covid test. I answered, yes. I gave myself a home test this morning. I had not had any Covid symptoms, but I just felt bad and, since you could have Covid and have no symptoms, I decided to give myself the test before the appointment. The test was negative. They said I had to reschedule the appointment because I took the test. Apparently, just taking a Covid test makes you a threat.
I have been to eye centers in Washington State, Texas, Ohio, and Florida I have found none better. They get you through fairly fast and do a through eye exam. They got a problem that my wife was having straightened out right away that 2 eye centers in Florida could not seem to get right.
Arrived at 7:35 for an 8 am appointment. The check in process took extremely long 7:52. I was then told I had to wait in my car which is understandable concidering I was getting over the pinkeye. At around 5 after 8 they called and asked a bunch of questions and told me I'd be in an isolation room and that she would come out to get me in 5 minutes. 10 minutes later she came to the door and placed me in a room with a busted up chair and worn equipment and said the doctor will be in. It is now 5 after 9 and nobody has even checked in here for anything. I went out the door to find out how much longer it would be and ended up speaking with what seems to be the only professional in the building Kara I explained to her the importance of my rest as I work nights in transportation. She understood and left to check on the wait. She promptly returned and said the doctor was finishing up with another patient and would be with me shortly. It is now 26 minutes after 9 and still nothing. I got a refund of my copay and was seen somewhere else. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Although I tend to be impatient at times, this wasn't the issue. To get up that early and to be asked to arrive 15 minutes earlier than the appointment only to be there over 2 hours with no one even bothering to step in a say anything is absurd. Never will I ever come here nor will I Recommend this place to any of my family and friends.
If you’re thinking about going here, just don’t. Find another specialist. Been here so far for 4 hours just for a follow for my mom. This is totally ridiculous. Wasn’t impressed with the doctor on first visit because he felt the need to talk in all medical terms to make himself feel superior but I put up with it because he was supposed to be fixing my mom’s eyes. After we get through this follow up visit, which apparently we’ll be here quite a bit longer, I’m finding someone else to fix her other eye!
On two occasions, my dad waited over 3 hours to see doctor. Staff doesn’t seem to care. In fact they will tell one you are next, while you still wait for hours. This place is just ridiculous. Doctor doesn’t have a good bedside manner to him as well. Just go else where for your needs. I don’t recommend this place at all.
We have been taking our daughter here since 2019...they have yet to keep a single scheduled appointment, every single time something has came up and the dr has re-scheduled. Then when we do finally get in to see him he is consistently late. We were supposed to have an appointment this Friday and the nurse called and said he didn’t work on Friday’s anymore and moved the appointment to today at 8:30...wouldn’t you know at 7:09 they called and something came up and we had to re-schedule again. It’s is completely ridiculous, unprofessional, and unreliable. I am completely unsatisfied
What is the point of having an appointment? Common sense should tell you there's a time when you know when you need to say "We need to stop taking new clients or hire more doctors" Completely Unprofessional.
This is our fifth visit. Each visit entails waiting a minimum of two hours past our appointment time to see the doctor. When the doctor does show up, he races into the room to spend about five minutes with the patient and race right back out. The care is minimal at best, this place is all about the cash. We should’ve known to expect lousy care when he was over two hours late arriving to perform the surgery. Would highly recommend that you find a different source for your eye care.
Rude staff and not very compassionate. Was told cataract surgery is not an emergency which can be translated as "Your eyesight is not important" and/or "Falling and breaking your bones because of vision loss is not an emergency". How many people are aware these clinics only do cataract surgeries one or two days a week? And THAT is why the waiting list is so long!
