Today Dolly drew my blood. I'm on a blood thinner and expected to have a massive bruise because of the needle. I wish you could see my arm. There is no bruising. WOW! Thank you. Best blood drawn I have ever had.
I had been a patient of Ms. Humphrey for over a decade. She became a trusted provider and health care advocate. Any fears that I had about my health, she quickly provided helpful information. She was an advocate for preventive health and even suggested several dietary changes that were effective! A few months ago, I received a MyChart message that my upcoming appointment had been cancelled. Soon thereafter, I received an email that she was no longer with the practice. I sent an email to the medical director expressing my frustration and disappointment with the way her departure was addressed with her patients. I received no response. I will take my health care elsewhere. What an interruption of experience!
I went in for a wellness check up which was covered 100% by my insurance. My doctor was so busy that day complaining that she had so many patients to be seen and over worked, she didn’t have enough time to do breast exam, HPV, and Pap smear tests therefore she asked me to make another appointment to come back for the tests. That’s understandable and so I came back 3 weeks later for the tests that weren’t get done the first time BUT I was charged for the office visit as something else, not a part of wellness check. I like my doctor but the office management & it’s billing system are terrible. Also, one of the front desk representatives is quite rude with an unprofessional attitude.
Do not recommend at all. If i could give zero stars i would. The staff was very nice, however the doctor was terrible. The doctor did not listen to me, berated me, and made me feel completely uncomfortable, judged, unsafe, cornered. I am sure the rest of the office and clients heard the entire conversation, so confidentiality is a joke here. This place is the reason I refuse to use DukeHealth providers and would rather payout of pocket for doctors i can trust. Do not go here.
If I could give zero stars I would. Called trying to get a prescription refill/insurance auth. since sept. 15. Called 10/24 I was told I would get a call back, nothing. They claimed BCBS had called me for authorization, claimed they had issues with my name/insurance. Had to call another dr's office 10/25 and got a text from the pharmacy this morning, the medicine is ready for pick up. No issues with my insurance or any other info. It took two days to get this solved and I wasted a whole month calling this people. Absolutely the worst.
My wife and I have been patients of Dr Jordan and Cynthia Humphrey for years. I began seeing Ms Humphrey in '96. We were Extremely Loyal patients of theirs staying with them thru 6 or 7 moves. After moving into a new home some 40+ miles away and my wife developing Cancer it just became too much of a trek. Ms Humphrey informed us back in '17 they were going to be moving offices to Holly Springs. It never happened. Anyway sometime back I receive a l etter from this practice rather Harsh in tone that I had not been seen there in awhile. The whole tone of the letter was very Hurtful and Just Assumed something. We deserved better as Patients of theirs since 1996! Also being young Seniors it would have been more appropriate to have first asked how we were doing Health wise and they would have found out that my wife was dealing with a Cancer diagnosis and Surgery! My wife said they called her up and the person on the other end of the phone was Nasty! Needless to say we have moved on. That is No way to treat your longtime patients or current ones for that matter. It's a Very Sad state of affairs over there.
I made an appointment at this facility because the Apex location is short staffed and has limited lab hours. No problem, I understand. A Technician at Wellesley called to say they can't do my bloodwork because they do not stock the vials that are needed to take my samples. I have had my blood drawn at five different Duke locations over the years so I find this excuse unacceptable. Duke is too large an organization not to stock all the supplies they need to service their patients properly at each location. This is wrong. I will say "hats off" to the technician that called to let me know so that I would not waste a trip. I do appreciate her phone call.
If you are looking for a new primary care physician, I would highly recommend Duke Primary Care Wellesley. The office is very nice and well maintained. Cynthia Humphrey, N.P., is one of the primary care physicians. She is very caring and professional and very easy to talk to. Going to the doctor can be very uncomfortable for people but she makes it as easy and comfortable as possible. She gives wonderful advice and cares so much about her patients. Duke as a company is very easy to work with and their website is super easy to use.
This office has Doctors that don’t care about patients. I made an appointment for a physical, the doctor saw me for 2 minutes and charged my insurance full physical charge. I don’t think what the doctor did is legal. I was contacted by some representative after I put a complaint, he agreed with me that what the doctor did is wrong. That was the last I heard from him. Despite his assurance that he will follow up with me I got nothing. I would avoid this office. I would avoid duke health all together.
Friendly receptionists. Nice waiting area. Short wait times. New exam rooms are clean. New equipment and furniture. Physician assistants have always been friendly and professional. Dr Humphrey is experienced, honest, and a pleasure to meet with. Lab techs are friendly and efficient. Ample parking. Billing has never been an issue. We have only had positive experiences at Duke Wellesley Primary Care and would highly recommend this office to others.
