Today June 6 I was here at this location with my kids and they had staff loading a cart full of beer into the LIBARY. This doesn't look right sense their are kids here.i mean This isn't a bar last time I checked it said PUBLIC LIBRARY on the building. If the LIBARY staff get to openly drink alcoholic then everybody that walks into this LIBARY dose all well.
The DPL is a great resource with friendly and helpful staff and lots of stuff throughout the week for kids. Some of the promoted books for the children are a little too woke for us, but beyond that, we love this library.
Limiting children's reading potential! Said my daughter read too many books and had to "max out at 25" for their summer reading program.... Their excuse was they don't have the money for prizes when they have 2 bookshelves full of prizes and I was told they have prizes to refill the bookshelves. Just sad!!! My daughter spent 2 days reading all day because one worker said she could have 1 big prize for every 50 books she read. Then we get here and Darbie the youth services director contradicted everything the other worker said. They need to get on the same page and have clear rules for everyone, not make up reading restrictions when children excel!
Friendly, helpful librarians with a large varied collection. Currently allowing a patron to check out books for a month. They have not yet brought back all their usual programs, but are back to most usual library services.
The ladies there were extremely help its a great feeling when people care
We are so lucky to have a library staff that is so knowledgeable and courteous. They are always ready to help in anyway that they can. New programs are always being offered so there are plenty of options for new and current members. Thank you all for everything!
