Sturgis, South Dakota —- The “Dungeon Bar” is THE “Run-A-Way Bill” Favorite bar in Sturgis. Truly qualifies for the title of “Dive Bar” ... the kinda bar you might hesitate to enter - down dimly lit steps to the even more dimly lit basement bar. The old vault from this old bank location adds real character to the dive bar. “Sharpie” markings cover ever empty space, even the few scattered beer neon tubes. Bras & dollar bills fill any open space ... a bag of “Fig Newton” cookies can be found hangin’ from the ceiling. An outdoor patio is available out the rear basement stairway. I was told the “Dungeon” is only open 4 months of the year during “Sturgis Rally” season. A “must” visit when in Sturgis. “Run-A-Way Bill” was here! ... and keeps returning 08.02.20

This is the oldest bar in Sturgis. If you want that down and dirty booker trash experience, this is it! Little sketchy looking but safe. I lived it for a drink

My favorite bar! One of the last bars still locally owned. The main bar is below street level, with a beer garden in the back. A great place to cool down, have a beer and hear some good tunes. But it gets crowded, so you should stay away. ;

The Dungeon! Dark, loud and fun! Great rock and roll playing just about as loud as a human can tolerate and the bartenders are very sexy and pretty! We had a great time even though it was a short visit. Body shots? Oh yeah, they got em! Thanks for a good time ladies!

The Dungeon is a awesome thrift store & consignment shop except during the rally. Check out New To You Fashions and Treasures at the same address as the Dungeon bar if you're coming to Sturgis during the year. It is the Dungeon from July & August

Cold beer and great "views"

I wasn't impressed. I'd read this was a must see place in Sturgis but I don't see why. Other than being old & shabby it was HOT. Very dark & no air circulation. I don't find that pleasant in S.D. in August. Don't get me wrong I LOVE a good dive barbeen to many in my day....anyone ever heard of the former Bird House in Girdwood,Ak to name one. Thing is a good dive needs to be more than dark. Drop by if you must but there are so many more interesting spots here & in the surrounding communities.
