The J. Michael Dunn Gallery, a gift to the university from Dr. and Mrs. John Dunn in 1995, is dedicated to the memory of their son Michael (1965-1988).
The gallery is located in the Cornwell-Reed Fine Arts building on the Oakland City University campus. It is the site of monthly exhibits by national, regional, and local artists, as well as student exhibits.
The beautiful entrance, faced with Italian marble, is enhanced by a large, plate-glass door with polished brass fixtures. The gallery's spacious interior has a museum-quality, maintenance-free wall which can accommodate up to 100 pieces of two-dimensional work. Overhead track lights and two large, mobile-surface units add to a professional-quality display environment.
