Dr. Reiter and her attending Dr Hoikka has done amazing job for my two children. My son has special needs down syndrome and can sometimes feel anxious during dental visits. For the initial consult, Dr. Reiter was very approachable and took the time to patiently create a plan. On our second visit, she was able to address his dental needs in a timely manner, which by far has been the best dental care he received, our daughter had a similar experience.  My son has had pediatric dental specialists work on his teeth before and our experience at Dunn was by far more superior. He remained calm throughout his entire procedure and the whole experience was seamless thanks to the professionalism and work of the staff. Thank you Dr. Reiter and team, please continue to provide excellent care to our DoD beneficiaries and SMs alike - it is greatly appreciated.

Tldr: I'm going to pay out of pocket for civilian dental care to avoid coming here.  I am astounded by how little this clinic cares for their active duty patients. I am a provider at another clinic, and when my patients show up 30+ minutes late I will still see them to the best of my ability. It is what's best for the patient.  Now I was coming from another hospital where I was seeing patients, and was en route to arrive on time for my appointment. But then I got stuck in 15 minutes of gate traffic and was 10 minutes late checking in. I was told that I would not be seen because I was over 10 minutes late. This is a ridiculous policy, as no other clinic I am aware of has such a strict policy. Now after taking time off to drive 30 minutes each way to Lackland time I could've been taking care of other patients, I'll have to take another morning off to come back.  My point being, these stringent policies have downstream effects. Their decision to force me to come back another day impacts the care of MY patients. Other active duty servicemembers will have fewer appointments available for care because they couldn't see me 10 minutes later than expected. Multiply this times however many other providers have encountered this issue, because let's face it, providers have a tough time getting to appointments on time due to patient care.  This is not the first issue I've had at Dunn Dental. I am not the only provider I know who has been turned away due to ridiculous policies. I'm choosing to pay to see a civilian provider so I don't waste more of my time driving back and forth trying to be seen.

Hardest working staff, they are so patient with all that comes their way. No one will ever truly understand what these Doctors and Techs do behind the scenes to make it all happen.

I have been in this clinic many times so I know there are phones there and I’ve heard them ring. Every time I walk in and explain that I’ve been calling, there is an excuse about the “phone tree” not working. Whatever you guys are doing is not working. ANSWER THE PHONES! I’ve been I queue three times today for 25 minutes or more as the second or first caller.

I was in and out scheduling my dental appointment in maybe 10 minutes, granted it wasn't a busy time. I posted this review to provide an updated contact card as I as well as many were having trouble contacting the clinic. Hope this helps.

Go off base. They almost killed me after removing one wisdom tooth in November 2021. The tooth was infected and they didn't treat the infection, the doctor just removed it. 2 days after the wisdom tooth extraction I was transferred to the ICU at Fort Sam Houston. 0 Stars.

This clinic does a good job with dealing with inpatient people. They go above and beyond to take care of every patient. They need a raise for how hard they work and as much as they put up with.

Went to the resident program to get a consult about a painful filling. My regular dentist ignored my pain for about 9 months. The dentists at Dunn were amazing and patient and listened to me. The procedure was basically painless. I have anxiety and they really made me feel at ease.

Third in the queue when I called. I've been waiting for an hour and 20 minutes now with no answer. I'm shocked that the Med Group Commander finds this acceptable for the healthcare of our Airmen.

They never answer the phone and they don’t have a voicemail set up. They also like to make it literally impossible for military members to cancel or reschedule their appointments by not answering the phone, then they tell their Commander that they no-showed to get them in trouble. I’ve been trying to get in touch about my medical records for days and can’t get through. This place is a disgrace and reminds me how happy I am that I got out of active duty.
