Dr Duvall and his nurse practioner, Michelle are wonderful. Highly recommended GI and has many years of practice and expertise. They also participate in clinical trials. Very trustworthy!
Dr. Duvall is a great listener and is genuinely concerned about his pts and getting them well. He is simply the best!
I thought he was very thorough and professional. He explained things to me and even though he was busy he didn’t seem rushed. Would recommend him
Dr. Duvall is the best doctor, he does everything he can to keep you healthy, I'm a very complicated patient I am a challenge and I have received the best care from Dr. Duvall he takes his time explaining everything in terms that I can understand highly recommend him to anyone needing a great doctor.
If you are a special case patient do not go to this Dr. he will not listen or take into consideration your prior health issues. Compassion and bedside manners is what separates great doctors from just regular doctors. This is not just a job. This is someone's life and you are there to make them comfortable and feel as if you are going to take care of them no matter if the procedure is big or small. Dr. DuVall did not do that the both times I had my scopes done and I was left very uncomfortable after both and in pain.
Update: I waited deathly ill at home for two weeks to meet again with Dr. Duvall. He again ran no more tests but offered me a medication he said would help. He said insurance might fight it but he would make sure I got it. I left uneasy but hopeful that perhaps this med would be different than the other three he had had me try. I went back home and waited. Insurance did throw a fit. I contacted Dr. Duvall’s office and informed them that I was in terrible pain, unable to eat, and in cold sweats and chills. Dr. Duvall’s nurse portal messaged me a few times and said I could try another medication, an antibiotic, which I was extremely hesitant to use due to a history with c diff. I responded that I would really rather he facilitate the other medication. I got no response. I messaged about my increasing pain. I was told to go to the ER for pain management and that if I was admitted, Dr. Duvall would follow me there. I have been here for two weeks now and have not once seen Dr. Duvall or anyone from his practice. I wish I could give zero stars. I started seeing Dr. Duvall and his PA April Coursey after a bought with c diff that almost killed me. I came into his office in early May with extreme abdominal pain, frequency, inability to eat without nausea and crippling pain. I was already at a very low weight due to the c diff and I have lost ten more pounds. Both providers have tried to blame my medical issues on psychiatric problems that I do not have, refused to do any extensive testing, told me I had ibs but refused to try any ibs medications beyond a medicine to prevent cramping, which I told them did not work. They both treated me as less than human. I ended up in the hospital due to extreme pain and weight loss and even though it was the hospital that Duvall practices at, he never came. The hospitalist had to beg their office to give me a follow up because shocker a ct showed thickening in my small bowel that the hospitalist said is indicative of infection or autoimmune response. Today, at 5, I was notified that my follow up appointment had been canceled and when I asked to be rescheduled, they refused. So now I am home in extreme pain, struggling to find another provider, which Ms. Coursey previously offered to do but after calling her to remind her three times in a week, she has not done. So I am still in extreme pain, dropping weight and at 105 pounds currently, and unable to live my life with no medical care whatsoever. If you value your life or the life of your loved one, choose another gastroenterologist.
Fantastic doctor. Great personality, very professional. Listened to me and was excellent at explaining what was going on. So glad I found him.
