I do not think I can adequately convey how deeply appreciative my family is for the kind, gentle, and compasisonate service of the Duzak family. When my sister-in-law suffered a fatal accident with a prolonged ICU stay and eventual hospice care, the Duzak family kept in touch with us as we tried to figure out arrangements, and went above and beyond coordinating with the hospital, hospice facility, and gift of life. Mary Ellen is one of the most comforting souls I've ever had the pleasure of speaking with, and her genuine compassion for our family was greatly appreciated during such a difficult time. Chris was a wonderful funeral director to work with- he walked us through a few complicated steps, making things as easy on us as he could. He truly went above and beyond what we expected of him, and we are eternally grateful for his advocacy for my SIL's final wishes. You will not find a more affordable or compassionate funeral and cremation service in Detroit. As none of our family lived locally, they made it extrordinarily easy to complete all of the necessary paperwork via email and ensured that we knew what was happening at all times.

My brother passed away unexpectedly from a massive heart attack and lived in Harbor Beach. He was air lifted to Saginaw for treatment however he passed. My brother had no money and lived from check to check. I worked with Chris and he was able to provide me guidance to select services that we could afford. Arranged to pick up my brother from Saginaw. He never pressured me to spend more than the basic. He was extremely helpful and efficient in proving me the paperwork. Chris was very professional, very efficient in asking questions and responding to our questions. Handled all details and kept me informed all the way through the process. Professional, caring, compassionate. Duzak took care of my father in 2017. I recently lost my mother and left it the care of the wonderful people at Duzak. Mary Ellen sat on the phone with me for a hour and half. We shared stories and I felt so comforted. This was not just a business deal. These people care. I wouldn't trust anybody else for my funeral needs.

This is the third time I have used Duzak for family members, beginning with my father in 1983. Most recently my brother passed away in July 2020. Chris Duzak handled the pickup of the body, cremation, and delivery of the remains and death certificates to our family, just as respectfully and efficiently as his father had previously done The website and the ability to print and email or text our completed forms made it even easier to initiate the process, despite my being out of town. I have recommended them to several friends who have had similar good experiences, especially appreciated at a time when things are so stressful.

I contacted Duzak Funeral & Cremation Center upon the sudden death of a loved one. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful during this difficult time. They explained everything, set up everything over the phone and when the time came they took care and patience with the family and they took our loved one away. I highly recommend them.

Mary Ellen was great with the initial planning and answering all the questions we had. They are super professional and caring. Chris was absolutely amazing at keeping us informed every step of the way and taking the time to make the situation as simple and streamlined as possible.
