We are a Jewish preschool and daycare in Baltimore. We offer daycare for infants and toddlers from 10 weeks - 23 months and preschool for children 2-5 yrs.
The E.B. Hirsh Early Childhood Center is an exciting place for young children and their families. Through a child-centered approach our children are given the opportunity to grow, to be curious, to explore their environment, and to become independent learners. Our large classrooms and spacious playground afford our children the opportunity to exercise their minds and bodies and to thrive in a nurturing, respectful atmosphere.
Each child’s strengths, needs, and interests are addressed through an integrated Judaic and secular curriculum that is developmentally appropriate. The teachers serve as attentive facilitators while the children manipulate their surroundings and make their own discoveries and observations about their place in the world. Daily activities include: creative play, physical movement, music, art, circle time, language development, Hebrew, computer, math, science, cooking, and – of course – interaction with other children. The children learn about Jewish customs and values, traditions of Jewish life, and Israel. We celebrate weekly with the Rabbis and Cantors at our Kabbalat Shabbat program as well as at other holiday celebrations throughout the year.
As a Jewish preschool and daycare, we provide a nurturing Jewish atmosphere that stimulates and supports curious learners who explore their environment, ask questions, and experience authentic and age-appropriate activities that will expand their knowledge of the world around them.
