The mission of Eagle Engine Company # 1, as is the mission of all the companies that make up the Hempstead Volunteer Fire Department, is to protect the lives and property of the residents of the Incorporated Village of Hempstead from the perils of fire and major catastrophes. At times we are additionally called on by surrounding departments to assist them in efforts to protect their communities.
