This Aerie was started two months after Orville and Wilbur Wright first flew their little airplane. Before “the War to End all Wars”, the great depression, and WWII, 26 presidential elections, 3 or 4 more wars, at least three local boom and busts. Through all of this our little Aerie has survived and built a beautiful building while donating thousands and thousands of dollars to those in need.
Of course none of us were around when this Aerie started, but many of you have worked hard for years to keep us going. The reason that we survive is that what we are doing is important. This Aerie has, in a real way, added greatly to the wellbeing of Grand Junction as a community and the many people we Eagles have come in contact with.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles is an international non-profit organization uniting fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope.
