Reading with a young child is the single most important activity to prepare them for school. Help us make books accessible to families. Read. Bond. Grow.
Early Learning formerly conducted its activities as part of the United Way’s “Success By 6” initiative. As the activities of Early Learning expanded, however, the Board of Directors of the United Way and the Success By 6 Advisory Committee concluded that the programs now administered by Early Learning would be better served—and the future growth and development of those programs more assured—if they were managed by an independent corporation with its own Board of Directors and decision making authority. To that end, Early Learning was formed as of July 5, 2005.
The Early Learning Partnership is a comprehensive, results
oriented initiative to help prepare children to reach school healthy
and ready to succeed. Public and private support are combined
through partnerships to address the unmet needs of young
children and their families.
