I have know and been a satisfied customer of Shakib's for 20+ years. He shares his extensive knowledge and courteous manner with all, whether he is giving free advice or has something that will help the problem. I have numerous health issues and he always has help available. Most importantly, Shakib, is honest. He is the BEST!

We live in Northwestern Ontario - almost at the Manitoba border, but visit Peterborough regularly. We felt so blessed to find Shakib and the Earth Food store a few years ago. As stated over and over again, the stagg’s knowledge is extensive, the time they take with you is incredible and the product and advice is something you can trust. 10 star rating if that were a thing!

I can not overstate how immensely helpful Shakib really is. Regardless of your complaint I'm willing to bet he has the knowledge and products to help you. Best of all, if you dont need a product, he won't try to sell you one. His advice is given freely with compassion, patience, and understanding. I make the trip from Toronto just for his unparalleled knowledge and have never been disappointed. Allow yourself some extra time for the visit- because of his thorough approach he may be helping others in the store for a while before he's able to get to you.

We started our dog on a round of natural meds as per the naturopaths recommendations after her second cancerous tumour removal in her mouth. The Earth Food Store is where you go whenever you require information and products to improve your health. I recommend this store to anyone and everyone whenever I can because no matter what the circumstances there is always something available to improve the quality of life of someone. I prefer to talk to staff about my current health issues than a pharmacist because the selection of alternative medicine is supported by educated and experienced staff. I can't say enough about this place!

I went in late, on a Saturday afternoon, and not only was the owner there for me: when I vaguely described what I was looking for... he deduced that it was a type of Chromium GTF not picolinate that he did not carry, and sent me to JoAnne's. I know that some other stores have this kind of policy, but usually, it is when you know what you want before you walk in. Peterborough is very lucky to a resource like Chakib. He is obviously honourable and his honesty is combined with immense knowledge. Merci encore - it's a pleasure to meet a real mensch :

Very knowledgeable. Clear, efficient diagnosis and prescription. Basically your local Natural Pharmacist. Go here first. Cured Pink Eye in my kids without the use of antibiotics, among other things, and knows when to refer you to an Allopathic Pharmacist. "Healthy" to "Healthful" comment is ignorant to judge someone's entire ability to heal based on a common use that has evolved into the English Language.

i've walked into the store and was greeted and appreciated ..shakib knew of my rare illness and orchestrated a natural health program which supported my recovery time frame....i was running late and shakib waited for me..also informed which days he wasn't available...very very professional and well mannered..
