I use to work here and had to leave because my new principal treated me like garbage. After I went to the superintendent about my concerns she did not support or reassure me that my concerns would be taken serious, and she did not further investigate the situation. I feel the administration team did not provide adequate support and the proper tools for me to be successful, nor were they patient in the training process to teach me from beginning to end. I received negative feedback on my job performance but was not offered additional training or an improvement plan for me to excel. I feel administration is not doing things in the best interest of the children.
This goes to the new principal. The decisions you are making are affecting your staff, your teachers and students!!! They had a great security officer who was the best w the kids and parents. So many teachers leaving because of your decisions.. the school was better before u came.. stop trying to destroy this school. My son is sad that his teachers are leaving because of your decisions. I hope u regret how u treat these great teachers and staff and apologize for giving them ultimatums.
Schools should not have 1 star reviews and like any other workplace it starts at the top. I would not recommend, PLEASE if you’re a parent with other options to send your child consider it. Teachers aren’t treating with respect, decisions are made without concern for the students or staff. I thought it couldn’t get worst after the last principal stepped down but the current one is unqualified and seems to make a lot of detrimental personal decisions that she claims is for the best interest of the students. You and you’re child deserve better than East Chicago Lighthouse
This school is not a good school. The office people are not professional. The lady that runs the school should not have that Job she has her family members in the front office which they do not know how to run a front office. She has her daughter as the nurse and she just got out of high school like 2yrs ago. There's no way she finish nursing school. This school really needs to be looked into because they do not have the proper training to be teaching kids. I really feel sorry for the children that go here. This will be the last year my child will attend this school they shouldn't even be allowed to get one star on here. POOR.
The worse school ever. They don’t treat their teachers right. It’s literally a revolving door there. They can’t keep a consistent staff. The children are taught poorly there. The lunch food is very unhealthy. The classrooms are so dysfunctional. The office people never know anything and the parents are the last to know everything. Just a real huge disappointment for a school. The children deserve so much more and the Board of education should be notified immediately!!!!!
This is the worst school. The communication is terrible. My kid had 3 teachers and she’s only in 2nd grade. I am very disappointed.
I love the staff. When my kids started here they dis a complete turn around with not only their grades but also their self esteem!!
dont wanna be here i wanna leave ive been here since kinder and im ready to go to a different school
Not enough experienced teachers for the amount of students each class has.
I went to that school and loved it very much
