East Lansing Marriott at University Place

We always love staying at this Marriott location. Amazing staff and very very clean rooms. It’s in the middle of downtown and amazing bars. We will definitely be back and always stay there. Our second time in a year.Rooms: 5/5

We had our wedding here in Feb and it was absolutely fantastic. They made it so easy from the ceremony to the reception it was perfection. Our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. What a great experience. Highly recommend them. I also have to say how amazing the staff is. Julie is the coordinator and she is just amazing. Thank you Marriot of East Lansing!

I was at the hotel for a sorority conference and the place was perfect for us. They accommodated us for dinner the night before, and were amazing the day of. The bar service was also wonderful. The location was perfect, easy to find and plenty of parking. Walkability: It was very close to Michigan State University's campus, and just down the road of the collegiate chapter of our sorority that was hosting. Food & drinks: The food and drinks were do delicious and plentiful.

I think this is a great hotel, in a great location, with excellent service. When I visit Michigan State University this is the only place I want to stay. Yes, it is more expensive than Kellogg but totally worth it to catch the vibe of restaurants, coffee shops, and a very cool used book store. Oh, the CVS is right across the street—very handy. The pool and sauna are also a bonus. Free parking and free in and out privileges make it easy and affordable. I also like the parking garage is an elevator ride away—in a covered garage. It is also near a wonderful knitting store.

I'm a Hilton-only traveler, but due to business circumstances, this was the best choice for my coworkers and I. I had a fantastic experience with Joe at the front desk. He helped me solve a tricky receipt mystery that even Marriott corporate couldn't figure out. He was incredibly professional and was very enjoyable to talk to. He deserves all of the praise and recognition!!

We attended a conference here this week and I was very impressed. They served breakfast with the conference and the buffet was delicious well-timed and had lots of options. The conference room is clean and well lit and there was easy restrooms everywhere. The biggest problem seem to be getting out of the parking structure. It wasn't that big a conference but it took a very long time to get out of the parking garage.

Booked a room for my daughters birthday party. Was expecting more for the price. Pool was nice size, they have a nice outdoor area to sit at. Room was smaller than expected and breakfast was crazy expensive, not included with room. Wish there had been a fridge or microwave. Best part of our stay was Joe from the front desk, gave my daughter a birthday card and her and her friend candy for her birthday. That really made a difference in our stay.

Excellent location, front desk clerk was very helpful when I checked in. Did not have any other service interaction during my stay. They have daily room service, just like pre-pandemic, this is a nice differentiator. The bed was very comfortable, lots of pillows There was low to no exterior noise. My only issue with the room is that there was no mini fridge. No keeping my drinks cool during this stay. This was a weird omission.

We had a wonderful stay. This hotel lived up to the Marriott name. Great service, very nice room. Janet, in the Bistro 44, took great care of us. She provided us with excellent service, and the food was outstanding. A big thank you to Janet.
