East Lawn Cemetery

I'm a funeral director in Oklahoma. I spoke to several locations trying to assist a family in placing their loved one at East Lawn. I spoke with Christian after several others and getting little to no answers. Christian took that knowledge personally and made sure to not only get the information I needed, but I truly felt he went above and beyond to get the specific details so that when I did get in touch with the right location I was able to give them the information right away. So thank you so much Christian for all of your help!

East Lawn and more specifically Ed Swarnes provided our family with excellent care. - Ed never tried to upsell. He was always very clear with pricing and details and was invested in giving us the best possible experience. - He grieved with me. He shared his own experience of losing his mom which was a very human and compassionate act in the moment. - He explained everything in great detail and made sure that we were taken care of, not just logistically, but emotionally. Overall, I can't say enough good things about the overall service we received from the East Lawn team and Ed Swarnes specifically. He was an angel sent from God to our family in our time of need. After the sudden passing of my little nephew, I had to find a cremation place in Sacramento. You never really think of these things but I called many places and did not feel good about them touching a loved one. I finally called East Lawn. The director Andrea was very kind, empathetic and respectful. They know how traumatic loosing a child is and are even kind enough to give a huge discount. When people are kind at times like this it means so much. Thank you Andrea <3

One of the most well-known and peaceful memorial parks in the Sacramento area..!

My Father passed away in September of 2017 which was and still is extremely hard to deal with. Yesterday afternoon I arrived at the East Sacramento location where my Dad and his parents cremated remains are located. I arrived there at 4:45pm and I know they close at 5pm. I was already having a rough day thinking about my Dad and I hadn't been to visit him in about a year because it's too painful. When I walked in the door I told the lady I will only be a few minutes because I understand they're closing at 5pm. She then asked do you need help something and I said, no I'm there to see my Dad for a minute and her response was and I quote, "Make it quick". As I started walking up the stairs she said, the lights are off and then said, you can't go up there the lights are off. I began crying and told her I just drove all the way over here from South Sacramento and I also told her she was not very nice as I sobbed walking out the door. She told me I could come back today. Well, no lady I cannot come back today because I don't have the gas. Thank you for being a cold,rude, insensitive, and miserable human being. I will be contacting the facilitator today to file a complaint against her.

The staff and services of East Lawn are exceptional. When my father passed away suddenly, their staff went above and beyond to take care of our needs and make sure my father had a beautiful service. In a time that was so painful and difficult, they made sure that the process of preparing my dad's funeral was as stress-free as possible. East Lawn is also a beautiful cemetary with a wonderful chapel. We were able to have my dad's visitation and memorial service in the chapel, followed by his interment in the mausoleum next-door. East Lawn also provides other ways to remember loved ones such as their annual tree lighting with a slideshow of those that have recently passed and an ornament for families to place on the tree. In short, I'm grateful for the kind services my family received at East Lawn.

The absolute best! Couldn't of had a better experience! Made the process and planning stress-free and the staff was extremely supportive, detailed and attentive. Most importantly, my mom's service was beautiful and was better than I could have ever imagined. Thank you team East Lawn Crystal & Ton for being there for me and my family!

Though we never want to plan our loved ones farewell. I must say, the team at East Lawn made everything easy and took the stress off our shoulders. Peter, our specialist, made everything seem less. Peter, thank you once again for the great service and understanding all of our families needs.

Caring thoughtful people in a difficult situation. Brian was amazing. He went above and beyond in letting me know the most fluid ways of caring for my loved one. I felt like i had a friend guiding me through the whole process. I can see why my ancestors bought plots here to long ago. Great people to guide you and beautiful grounds to visit. Thank You!
