Organized in 1893, the East Rockaway Fire Department (ERFD) provides fire, emergency medical, and water rescue response to the Village of East Rockaway, Bay Park and Angel Sea.
The Department is on call 24/7, 365 days a year.
The East Rockaway Fire Department is 100% volunteer and staffed by approximately 200 members of our community.
The ERFD is comprised of: Protector Hook, Ladder and Hose Co. No. 1, Vigilant Engine Co. No. 1, East Rockaway Hose Co. No. 1, Liberty Hose Co. No. 2, Flood Light Heavy Rescue Squad, and the Rescue Squad.
