East/West Boulevard is a light rail station on the LYNX Blue Line in South End of Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The station is located at the intersection where East Boulevard becomes West Boulevard upon crossing Camden Road; the area is notable for the number of renovated factories and eclectic mix of retail, commercial and high end residential construction.HistoryThe station first opened for service on April 30, 1996, for the historic Charlotte Trolley, with one track and one platform. After nearly a decade of service, the station was closed on February 6, 2006 and reconstructed for the LYNX Blue Line. The station officially opened for service on Saturday, November 24, 2007, and as part of its opening celebration fares were not collected. Regular service with fare collection commenced on Monday, November 26, 2007.Public artAs part of the CATS Art in Transit program, East/West features several pieces intended to provide a better overall aesthetic for the station. The works include bas-reliefs entitled Hornbeam by Alice Adams, drinking fountain basins designed to look like dogwoods, the North Carolina state flower, by Nancy Blum, cotton plant motifs on both the pavers and shelters by Leticia Huerta, a mosaic along a wall facing Camden Road by Thomas Thoune and track fencing featuring beech leaves by Shaun Cassidy.

I would disagree with the reviewer who mentioned it was their favorite station and 7th street station is far from my favorite - too crowded, yuk I would have to say that New Bern is my favorite as it's close to things that I like. This one is OK and first 'uptown' one. There is a new ice cream place off of this station
The ticket terminals are broken half the time, yet you're still expected to purchase a ticket to ride the train online. If you contact them to let them know a terminal is broken, they don't even bother responding.
Easy public transportation
The door is broken. Just gaves B door it is southbound. I want use the northbound A, but it is broken.
