The East Windsor Rescue Squad District 1 Inc. provides the residents of East Windsor Township with ambulance and heavy rescue/vehicle extrication services. Our membership is 100% volunteer. If you are interested in becoming a member, give us a call!
The Township of East Windsor is divided into two sections for quicker emergency response. The western part is served by East Windsor Rescue District I and the eastern section is covered by East Windsor Rescue District II. All riding members are CPR certified and at least 2 per ambulance are NJ Certified Emergency Medical Technicians. Both organizations keep First Responder vehicles on the road during volunteer times.
The most rewarding part of being a volunteer is knowing that what you do can make a difference in a person's life. Living in a small town allows us to make a significant contribution to our community. District I is always looking for new members to join us in our commitment to our community. Those interested in volunteering can contact us by phone or E-mail. We will help you obtain the training necessary to become an EMT at no cost to you.
Our members are representatives from all groups within the community. The Rescue Squad accepts cadet members as young as 14. Please give us a call or send us an E-mail to find out who we are and what we do. The knowledge you gain may help save a life.
