The ESPES works within the Delmarva community on philanthropic and charitable causes and encourages community support for all public safety personnel.
The Eastern Shore Police Emerald Society was founded in 2011. The ESPES is a non-profit Irish/Gaelic cultural organization that supports law enforcement officers and organizations on the Delmarva Peninsula. The ESPES is comprised of sworn active and retired law enforcement officers and associate members of Irish/Gaelic decent, who proudly promote their Celtic heritage. The ESPES is based in Ocean City, Maryland. The ESPES offers its members a chance to network and socialize with other public safety officers, organizations and supporters. The Eastern Shore Police Emerald Society's mission is to develop the spirit of fraternalism and fellowship amongst our members, to encourage active participation in community activities, to encourage and enhance professionalism within the law enforcement profession to better serve the community and to promote our shared Irish heritage and customs.
