It was OK except for writing a large check to IRS. However, H&R blocked did taxes that were overwhelming to me. This was effortless and their cost was very reasonable. So I was at the H&R Block at the Eastgate Shopping Center near Ashley Furniture. Recommend.
Wow is the best way I can describe the choices there in purchasing furniture, bedroom sets, Etc and very competitive prices!
Ashley Home store. Chloe was good as our assistance in locating merch. However haven't heard anything pertaining to our merchandise.
Generally nice people and worth while businesses
I shared my experience before but need to add that the salesman shouldn't tell a female customer that comes in alone, that somebody was shot across the street the day before and his face was unrecognizable from the shooting !
Not a whole lot here anymore being in a bad neighborhood. But it does have good little bookstore and Ashley Furniture for higher end items. Eastgate as a whole pretty well kept for its location.
I pulled in there to eat my lunch. No one bothered me I enjoyed the sunshine while I had my lunch. I had planned on going into the Ashley furniture store but I was running late to an appointment. My intentions was to eat and go into Ashley furniture store but sitting in the Drive-Thru line when I got lunch took up my extra time so I didn't get to go look
Creepy and kinda ugly part of Carbondale. I wouldn't walk around there at night. The homeless tend to take refugee in bushes. The mall has a five or six stores. The mall has a loan shark and a slot machine place. If you do business with the loan shark they will send you mail for ten years straight every month and call you a few times a year for a business invitation. Creepy, is getting a fake check on the mail with your name on it. Another place is the book store where last time I went it was like buying used books at new book prices. Ashley's has nice expensive furniture not really fitting to the college community. They lacked bed frames and the ones they could order for 80 bucks at Wal Mart they wanted twice that. Only positive thing about it was I think a restaurant and a gym.
The best strip mall in southern Illinois! Our Neighborhood Co-Op grocery store, locally sourced ingredients for the best burger in So Illinois at "Dales". Every dreamy sweet treat imaginable at Larry's House of Cakes, and the most beautiful fruits and veggies at prices so low you almost feel bad at Fresh Foods. Westroads liquors, Cricket wireless, UPS, and the list goes on. Truly a one-stop destination for all things Carbondale!
As a whole, not much here... Gave Ashley Furniture 5* for the service we received, Gymnastics and Party Center was good/fun 6 yrs ago when we had my daughter's 5th bday party. Any area businesses we can afford to support right now, we should!!!
