Eastside Orthocare

About

Premiere joint replacement and orthopaedic specialist.

Description

Dr. Craig Mines of Eastside Orthocare is an extremely caring and compassionate surgeon who truly believes his patients deserve to be treated the way he would want his family members treated. He enjoys both the non-operative as well as the operative care of the musculoskeletal system. At Eastside Orthocare it is a frequent occurrence to hear Dr. Mines' recommending continuing conservative management rather than rushing the patient into an operation. We can always operate on you later, however, but we can never UN-operate on you. This belief will often reassure the patients that we have their best interests at heart. Dr. Mines recalls being taught by his bowtie wearing mentors and professors in Medical School and Residency that do all you can do for your patients prior to performing surgery and then when it comes to surgery be the best at it. He continues to strive to live up to the expectations of his mentors by providing the community with technically advanced compassionately rendered orthopaedic care.

Dr. Mines and all of the family at Eastside Orthocare look forward to providing you and your family the best care anywhere.

I’ve got to give props to Rick and Jonathan. When I went in to be seen, I was treated with professionalism and kindness. They were also very gentle when handling my knee. I asked a lot of questions and each one was answered with detail and patience. It was also nice that both of them have a good sense of humor, it brought me comfort when talking about my condition. Also the front desk staff are very friendly/helpful too.
Dr. Craig Mines and his staff were awesome!! I came to see them due to a broken shoulder, I had no insurance, And they still treated me with kindness and respect. Trying to work with me as much as they possibly could. The charge for the surgery was extremely minimal when I know this very surgery can cost several thousands of dollars just for the surgeon alone. Thank you to doctor Craig Mines, and his awesome staff for your patience and understanding!! Dr. Craig Mines Shoots it straight with you he does not coddle you, But cares about you getting the best care possible for whatever you're going through. Appreciate his straightforwardness!!! I absolutely cannot complain one bit of the excellent care I got from Eastside ortho care as well as Eastside hospital. Not One complaint!!
I’ll recently had surgery on trigger finger. That was over a month ago and I still cannot use my hand. I did try to speak with them when I went in for stitch removal at which time a Mercer medical student was sent in to see me. I asked for the physicians assistant and explain my problems to him. I was pretty much blown off and sent home I called the office this morning to try to get in touch with someone, and was once again treated with much disrespect. The same lady that I watched disrespect an elderly gentleman on my last visit in, which by the way is about an hour and a half wait time. A bier procedure was performed for this surgery, a surgery that could have been done with local and a bit of anesthesia. Anyone with PAD is at great risk using that procedure but they did it anyway. This is all information I found out afterwards. I am a pet groomer, or I was, I’ve missed almost a month of work and when I do return I doubt I’ll have many clients left. If you need surgery and would like to use your extremities afterwards, you want to find another doctor......and if you’re a doctor ...please understand your front office staff can get rid of as many patients as you will ever get in. But at the end of the day call loss of my right hand is a lot more important than that rude lady you have up front.
PA-C Lyle Brown was a great help to me with my shoulder and bicep problems. No unnecessary surgery and I'm back to work with very little pain I really appreciated his approach and felt like I was an important patient. A very rare thing these days. I know I'm not his only patient but he made me feel like it. Great experience
Been with Dr. Mines for years he is an excellent surgeon, terrific bedside manner, and the best seamstress I've ever seen. Lytle Brown, PA-C is specialized in orthopedic medicine and also has a great bedside manner. The office staff is warm, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.
We were completely appalled by the way we were treated at this office. The doctor immediately Pushed new crutches on my mother while explaining that a third party vendor upcharges them by $80 and we could buy $20 crutches at Walmart that were exactly the same- that her insurance may or may not cover it... but he immediately wanted her to leave the office with the $100 crutches. He proceeded to tell us about an obese patient asked us if we saw him when we came in disclosed how he got injured, what he had injured, and that he had no insurance and no way to pay for his thousands of dollars worth of surgery he will need. After that, they demanded $25 for paperwork, made it seem like we were inconveniencing them by needing it... proceeded to talk about us loudly standing across the office about how we felt about the $25 paperwork charge. I can only imagine what they said about us to the next patient. This place is completely unprofessional.
The office staff at this Dr's office is the rudest most unprofessional people that I have ever met. After waiting in the waiting area for two and a half hours from my appointment time they wanted to act like I was inconviencing them by asking when I would be seen. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Dr Mines, is a great doctor with a world-class staff! Just great across the board! Dominic B
