Easttown Township Police Department

About

The Easttown Police Department serves the township 24 hours a day preserving peace and order.

Description

The principal mission of the Easttown Township Police Department is to preserve the rights of citizens and reduce fear in the community through the prevention of crime, protection of persons and property, maintenance of public order, and enforcement of applicable laws and ordinances. We are committed to maintaining the highest level of ethics, integrity, and accountability through fair and impartial enforcement of the law while working in partnership with all segments of our diverse community in proactive efforts to reduce crime and address conditions that may foster the fear of crime.

The Easttown Township Police Department consists of 22 dedicated sworn officers and 3 civilian support staff. We have an appointed Traffic Safety Officer who is assigned to maintain traffic safety on the township roadways to ensure a safer driving community. This officer is also responsible for the investigation of all traffic accidents, traffic complaints, and traffic surveys. By handling all traffic issues, he increases community awareness of potentially problematic commuter areas.

We have a full-time Detective assigned to handle all criminal investigations who also works closely with surrounding agencies. As well, we have an officer assigned as a liaison for matters involving our juveniles directly associated with the local Youth Aid Panel.

We also have officers assigned to the Municipal Drug Task Force, Northern Regional Emergency Response Team (SWAT), and the Chester County Serious Crash Investigation Team. We are committed to these partnerships because they help us provide the most efficient and professional service to our community.

Officers are on patrol 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Should a resident need a police officer for any reason, please call 911 or 610-647-1440.
