My name is Tim Brudnicki and I am a builder of hand-crafted furniture using locally grown black walnut and hand picked Lake Superior stones. Enjoy!
My greatest inspiration comes from the shapes, patterns and forms found in the natural world. As an avid outdoorsman, my favorite places to explore include the Lake Superior shoreline, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and the beautiful streams and rivers of my hometown, Eau Claire, WI.
I was taught to swing a hammer back in the mid-eighties in my high school woodshop class in Waterford, WI. One spice rack later I was hooked for life. After working a decade or so as a finish carpenter in the greater Milwaukee area, my interests shifted to that of fine woodworking. Over the years my wood creations include guitars, a canoe, canoe paddles, cabinets of all shapes and sizes, built-in furniture, mantles, peculiar wood sculptures and finally tables, tables and more tables. My current passions include the blending of Lake Superior pebbles with the natural beauty of black walnut. In all of my work, I strive to engage not just the woodworker or craftsman, but the artist within.
My family and I (wife Christine and sons David and Jack) reside in rural Eau Claire on a 5 acre “slice of heaven”. Much of our space is used for a tree nursery which more than replenishes the wood volume used in the shop. All of the lumber I use is grown locally, obtained primarily from local Amish sawyers.
