We enjoyed our stay here, Judy was very nice and even wished us well and thanked us for staying at her campsite. Do not listen to any negative reviews. We found it very peaceful here nice green grounds very well maintained, nestled in the mountains.Service: 5/5
My husband and I went camping this past weekend 8/4/2023, we checked in Friday afternoon and the owner Judy was okay not the nicest person, we paid with cash to get a cheaper rate but was charged a TV fee which we didn’t use our tv, we were in site 24B very tight spot our awing was in the other site, we went to the office to see if anyone was coming into that spot that night and she said yes she was booked for the weekend. Okay no big deal we will pull our awing in for the night, after that brief visit to the office Judy came over to see if our awing was really hanging over okay no big deal, then Saturday I was all happy to go to the pool and just relax NOT happening the pool was green chairs were tossed all over yep I was upset but deal with no shade 85 degrees. We had 2 people come to see us Saturday and she charged them $10 per person and they had to leave the property by 7:30 pm seriously! This place has such potential and she is running it in the ground! The office/store smells of cat pee and clutter to the point that you can see anything and out dated isn’t even the word! We WILL NEVER GO BACK! The grass wasn’t mowed all summer, the fence was falling down. I don’t know how it is a Good Sam campground it is a dump! Oh and every time Judy came over by us to would pull weeds and throw them back down where she pulled them SMH stay away, keep running
I came here today from my trip from Tennessee. Judy is a pleasure to see upon arrival. She showed us sites that may meet our needs 30 or 50 amp services. The bath house is wheel chair accessible, as well as showers . What a treat . We love you Judy.Service: 5/5
I had an Awesome experience at Echo Valley, it's like something out of the 50s. It's it's own little private valley. Love the layout, stayed by creek. Loved Judy she is a strong woman with a no nonsense personality, she runs a business. Most camp ground has fees for add ons to site. You can't make everyone happy. Some of the reviews are not nice. Almost didn't go, glad I did not let that sway me. Had a great experience and will look forward to going back.
WARNING DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!! Neg. Zero stars had to put 1 star in order to post Ruined my entire family vacation. Worst experience ever.....paid $650 for a cabin...which is actually a single wide mobile home....that had mold throughout...even the fridge ....and was only refunded $600 because ..as Judy the owner said....$50 for HER Troubles. Each person has to pay additional $5/day then another $4-6/day to use a nasty pool.
Stayed for an overnight. Easy pull through site was clean and level. They had a lot of rain and we couldn’t empty our tanks for departure. They brought in the truck to pump our tanks so we could leave. We would stay again.
The owner of the campground is very nice, and the price is fair for what they offer. The location was close to the places we wanted to visit. In my opinion they're good for a short stay, a night or two, as the pull thru sites are nice, and level, and offer full hookup, but the the Wi-Fi was pretty much non-existent, our Verizon phone signal was terrible, they don't offer cable tv, and we could not get a satellite signal. We felt totally disconnected. So if that's what you're looking for, this is the campground for you.
Very very quiet here. Primarily an RV campground. It is tent friendly. A few spots along the creek near the front road for tents. A bit on the expensive side Nearby activities: The creek is very pretty and restful. Noteworthy details: Far enough from the highway to not here that traffic. Lots of trees here. There's a pool on site.
Back in the spring of 2021, I had booked a creek side site and it was wonderful. I never had any problems with wood or the owner like some reviews have stated. Each site was separated by trees and brush separating you from your neighbor which was nice. Went back again in the fall of 2021 and all the brush was cleared out, and sites were placed in between sites. There is little room now and your on top of your neighbors.
Nice owners clean level pull through, very peaceful, close to I 81 well marked highly recommended.
